Lately, since I have joined the hysteria and bought three new handguns since the first of the year, I have noticed something.

What I noticed, is that all this striker fired polymer frame semi-autos seem to be jump on the Glock bandwagon. I never owned anything like it before and now I notice they are EVERYWHERE.

You just look through a Guns and Ammo and that's all you see; striker fired polymer frame handguns made by everybody and their brother.

And, the reason I had not noticed is that I broke down and subscribed to G&A about six months ago. I mean, I have had that mag off and on since the sixties, off and on.
Other than that, I get the American Hunter, which doesn't focus a lot on semi-autos, mostly big bore revolvers, if anything?

So, this is an area I don't know much about. Not that I know a lot about other stuff, just that I have very little interest in handguns, in general.

Thought I would share the news: striker fired semi-autos are the big deal, lately! lol

Good hunting. El Bee

I had a Glock 20 in 10mm and didn't care for it one bit. The trigger reminded me a a toy dart gun and I never really cared for it, so I got rid of it. I prefer a 1911 for all of my social functions.

I like the S&W Shield, small in size, lite in weight w/ minimum bulk. LB, have you been shooting yours, if so how do you like it?

I actually sold both my Shield and full size M&P but bought a new Shield without the stupid safety the next week.

I'm getting used to the single action 1911 trigger and just couldn't ignore it any longer. But truthfully, my full size M&P trigger pull was twice as long as on my Shield.

But now with this latest news, I must go buy a Glock!
