Great looking rifle Tim! The color looks great too, to my liking anyway. I'm a bit ashamed to ask a silly (if it is) like this, buttt...What is a spiral fluted barrel good for? I understand fluted barrels have more surface area and therefore can be cooled off quicker - I think? What use is the spiral or is it just because it looks really cool? It does look cool.

Nice looking rifle Tim, Been thinking of having the spiral fluted barrel myself. But fluting scares me on the accuracy department. I honestly don't know much about it though.
Dan rebarreled a rifle for me a little while back, no fluting, and it shoots very nice.
I'm curious about this rifle, a bit.

I flute my AR barrels for weight reduction only. None of my hunting or match rifles are fluted. And I might add, I know the guy that flutes them, I get a hell of a discount.

edit: Yeah, if it's an AR, fluting won't noticeably harm accuracy. You just walk 'em in, anyway?

Tim, I know for a fact that you are the main reason why some of these degenerates log on. You can't disappoint so many loyal fans! (he had a small part in Deliverance)
Besides, they are just kidding, mostly. Hell, Andy even volunteered to sign your stock, and he won't do that for just anybody. You have a loyal following, kinda like a "cult"? Can't let them down, Amigo. Wouldn't be fair would it?
