I was wandering if anybody had any info on good load for the 6x284 i have a custom 284 built on a remy 700 action with a douglas barrel with a wildcat thumbhole stock its a good shooter already but i think it could do a little better on a good day it will shoot 3/4 in 5 shot groups but its inconsistent with these groups but i know that it is just me but i would like to maybe experiment with other loads??

yote dog be careful, as this wildcat likes barrels and if you run it to the edge your going to eat up that douglas barrel even quicker. what kind of fps are you at now?

Are you using RL-22?. If so it can be real finicky on temp changes. Mine is doing 10 shots in .275" with VHT-165 and 4 5/8" at 1K for five shots.

Varmit Hunter,

How did I know that you'd have to respond to this post? A 6X284 with a thumbhole stock? You aren't drooling over the keyboard are you? [Big Grin]

Tim. I will have to take a picture of it. It is nothing like you saw. Totally different barrel profile. I don't have to tell you the great trappers get the old gray beards with the right bait.

Yotedog it is 30" Kriger.
