What's the best way to measure length of pull other than grabbing a gun and saying that you wished the stock was 1 inch longer. Is there a easy way to figure it out or how should I go about it. I want to order a new stock & they give you the choice of picking the L.O.P. I just want to know how to order the proper length. Suggestions?

Lay the stock of your rifle in the crook of your arm with your arm extended along the side with your fingers extended, while bending your index finger. Wherever your finger bends, at the second knuckle, measure where it is, in relation to the existing trigger, plus or minus. Now, you have to measure from the recoil pad to the point on the stock where your bent finger was. That will be your length of pull. However, now you may have to deduct up to a half an inch to allow for heavy winter clothing. Almost all average people are somewhere between 13.75 and 14.50 inches, so if you come up with a number very far from that, you better double check it!
Good hunting. LB
