...by how fragile a bullet actually is, while still inflicting an emmense amount of damage (or at least dumping a lot of energy).

This was full of water, it was shot with a Sierra 55 gr SPBT .224, from our Rem .222 at 25 yds at around 3000fps (Red has all them details, in case I messed em up).
When struck by the bullet, the cannister (we wouldn't want to use a shortened name) did a few flips, but did not travel far (6" at the most, no spinning or yipping, even though gutshot) the majority of the water inside turned into a "white mist".
Not a small entry wound, and amazingly (to me) not a single fragment even touched the exit side of the victim.
Since the cannister market is based upon weight, and the market tends to be a bit flooded in the heat of summer, this pelt will still fetch a handsome price of nearly a penny with or without the skin damage.

Full body mount or rug is out of the option, butyou might get a decent shoulder mount.
