I finally after what seemed like an eternity got the new Savage modle 12 fitted with the best glass I had on hand.
I am in anticipation (big word for a hick) of how well this baby will shoot.I still have a few odds and ends to purchase before I get down to loading for this highly debated caliber(220 swift).I can't wait to put some loads together for it so I bought a box of Federal Premium 52 Gr HP match bullets, just so I could shoot it and see if it stands up to what everybody calims."Most accurate gun outta the box"
As soon as I get some time I plan on doing just that,I will keep ya posted of the outcome.
Anyways here is a pic of MY Swift in Savage model 12 BVSS w/ a Springfield Armory 4X14X40 attached with Leupold rings and base ,supported by a Harris bi-pod. [ March 15, 2004, 06:00 PM: Message edited by: purdygood ]

Looks great! It should be a shooter! I've been thinking about either a 220 swift or a 22-250 AI for a while now.
Beautiful stock! It's the same one I picked for my LR rifle
If you find the accuracy is just not quite as good as you had hoped, try either putting a jacket under the bipod, or taking the bipod off and shoot it from bags. Either way, it should make for a wonderful rifle! [ March 16, 2004, 07:01 AM: Message edited by: Tim Behle ]

You bet Vic, Thanks! By the way, I sent you an e-mail regarding the tapes and I also took them to Silver City in hopes of meeting you there. I still remember where they came from! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

No problem Loco, wasn't accusing, merely reminding:) I know how those things go. Wish I had the ability to make the Expo, heard it was a great success! My son had TDY in Vegas for two weeks, and had a free weekend, and told me to get my ass up there for a visit. I havent seen him in a year, so I chose to make that run instead....but you can bet I won't miss next year! Hope you enjoyed the tapes, and maybe learned a little something, Plaxco is a great instructor on tape, very laid back and understandable. later buddy.

I learned a ton! My wife and I tried this new thing. Every two weeks we take turns planning a date night. The idea is for the one planning the date to do something they would like to do. It is the responsibility of the un-planner to be the happy camper. This way the couple gets to see and do the things important to the other one. My wife has gone to shoot handguns and archery with me. I am a newbie at shooting handguns and it was hard for me that she was nearly as good as I was (almost ever bit as good, almost). I can't wait to get good so that I can kick her butt at the range!!! Those tapes are going to help restore my manhood. THANKS AGAIN!!!! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Manhood aside, Women are better shooters than men. It has been proven many times over. That is why the Olympics will not let them compete aginst the men anymore. They can control their concentratrion and pulse rate much better than men.

Jack, truth you speak. Thank you for reminding us.
A pox be upon you! LB
PS ...so males get some minor relief in this obscure event. Title IX (for instance) gives females a lot more, in my view. They are much more equal than men, by law. But, are they inherently better sumo wrestlers?
I think not!

I think it has potential ................a little fine tuning of the load should produce some smaller groups.
