Just got back from 5 days in the Tx/Ok Panhandle bustin PD's. When I made it up Sat it was doubtful that I'd even get a gun out. Wind was blowing 25+ that evening. Sunday wasn't any better, in fact worse. Winds hung around the 35mph mark with gusts to 50. MOnday though turned off great, no wind. Off to the PD playground. Reached for Ol Yeller first, a Broughton 22BR. The blasting ,flips, launches, and of course explosions commenced. Started shooting at 9am and quit at 5:15pm. Only slack time was to clean barrels and eat a quick bite.
Guns used were the two Broughton 22BR's, two Remington Swifts and a new Savage 20" Tactical. One of the Swifts is a new VSSF. Both the new toys were quickly broken in and accounted for several PD's.
Tuesday started out on the breezy side but didn't hinder me. I drove too far not to burn some powder. By the time I got the Savage out it had calmed down. The blasting again commenced. I used solely the Savage this day. Does that gun shoot !!! The Black Hills and my reloads shoot in the same hole. Can't beat that. Time to head to the reloading bench to prepare for an August Adventure. Sorry, no pics, had camera but no time to stop....LOL

Hey Bob,

Congrats on a good time in spite of the wind. In that area you are lucky if it ever stops......but you know that being from west Texas!! [Wink]

Barry, you can't beat the price or the down range results with this rifle. Straight out of the box with the Accutrigger on 22oz. Only thing I did was scope it and shoot. Have a new VSSF Swift that had a 9lb trigger and cost twice as much,,,go figure.
