Yep, it works great as a bore cleaner! Sweets is still a better copper remover for occasional use. I am not sure M-X is any better than Butch's Bore Shine though.

Sweets is not corrosive. There has been much testing done and all has shown no corrosion from using Sweets. However, if Sweets is mixed with some other bore solvents, even in trace amounts, it can become corrosive. This is especially true if used with Shooters Choice.
I personally mirror polished some SS barrel cut-off pieces and soaked them in Sweets for 12 hours. Even under strong magnification, there was no evidence of corrosion.

OK, You guys brought up something I've been meaning to ask about.I saw a bore cleaner that I know nothing about.I cant even remember the name.It comes in an aerosol can[small]and its a foam that you spray into the muzzle end.You spray it little by little until it comes out the chamber then let it set overnight. The guy at the gunshop says its the next best thing.I've heard that before,do es anyone know anything about this product?

It is called "Wipeout". Here is a link: Wipeout Link
The people who use it seem to like it a lot. I have no personal experience with it.

I use the Montana Xtreme for all my "outdoor" cleaning. The fumes are more than I can take for indoor use. Works good. I think it works on copper noticeably faster than Butch's, but not as fast as Sweets. I have let barrels soak with the MX overnight, no etching that I can detect.

Not claiming to be an expert, but I have spent some time with a cleaning rod, I have found Mpro7 to be the best solvent for powder and copper (with no smell) and RB17 next. RB17 has a water base (biodegradable) so that is why they say not to leave in in the bore for over 5 min.

M-X works very well, just be ready for the fumes.
