I picked up a Ruger SR a couple of years ago on a trust after an 11 month BATFE wait. This was just before they changed the trust rules. I love that thing. We hunt squirrels with dogs, a 10/22, and 30 round mags of sub ammo. It is a hoot.
Now if one wanted to go rogue, pick up a "solvent adapter" and an oil filter from Wally World and have at it. I have been told that set up works extremely well although illegal.
