I'm just about to pull the trigger on a new toy, a Ruger SR22. Any of you pistoleros have anything to say that might talk me out of it?

I don't know about that, BUT.
This brings up the forthcoming GRUDGE MATCH at the campout between LB and koko. Each will have their most recent purchase, a M&P Shield for LB and some kind of 380 Ruger for koko. Ten paces.
Curious though, what's the 22 for?
Good hunting. El Bee

Put a suppressor on that thing so you can feel like James Bond. :-)

Jim, I have not even handled one but the few reviews from folks on other forums have been favorable.
Another one to look at is the new S&W M&P compact 22. I almost bought the full size but this compact model is supposed to be even better. If it comes with a threaded barrel, I will try one.

Had today off, and you know what they say about idle hands...
Found one on Gunbroker. Should be in my hands by Friday if all goes according to plan. I've also read very little but absolutely glowing reviews. Hopefully by Monday, I'll be able to confirm that.

Why is it when I see the image of LB & KoKo squaring off in the desert "at 10 paces" I can't help but hear Hugo Montenegro's theme song from the movie "The Good, Bad & Ugly"? With Blonde & Tuco thinking up new ways to earn a living in the wild west.

Near the very end of the movie, after the 3 way shootout with Angel Eyes, Blonde says to Tuco... "There's two kinds of people in this world my friend, people with loaded guns and those that dig, you dig..."

M&P.........?????? What's that stand for, anyway; Mundane Performance ??? I could probably outshoot one of those with my Super Diablo recurve bow, but 10 yards ?? That's like standing on the target. And another thing.........I wanna know who's betting on who.

Has not been decided, Amigo. And, in leu of votes I might have to do the deciding on location and dates. Your preference is noted.
By the way, if your area is selected, would you consider securing the site for our group? You kind of let us down last year, bro.
Good hunting. El Bee

I did secure the site last year. Very few people showed up. Securing this year, early will be a problem. I committed half of my vacation time for a family reunion and half of it for the upcoming archery deer/bear/turkey hunt. Unless I can wrangle some more time off, it'll be a week-end thing for me. We've used sites on both sides of the highway, so one of them `should` be available.

Actually, the 7-8-9 of Nov. would be good, too. And.........it would give you an extra week to practice with your pistol.
