Just got a call from "Border Patrol". Seems a package with drugs and ammunition has been seized with my name on it. Press one to speak to an Agent to address this issue.

How do these rat-bastards live with themselves ????

I wouldn't worry too much. In the first place, do those drug dealers always write their true name and address on shipments. You should have told them, you can keep my drugs but I will be down to pick up the ammo.

Something kinda related, if you have ever reported a stolen firearm. You may be a heavy trader like Victor, but I don't think he makes purchases from Gun Stores. Anyway, I have bought guns legally and it doesn't matter if it was 20 years ago and you sold it 19 years ago, if they recover that piece in the commission of a crime, they will pay you a visit, but don't expect that the purpose is to give back your gun, that sure as hell won't happen. They need it for evidence, ya know? And, after the trial, and there is a question of ownership, you won't get it. Unless you reported it stolen and in that case, I believe it stays on the books forever?

I've mentioned before that I got my Colt Combat Commander returned after 10 years, which was a very nice surprise. But, my point is that if it was a liquor store hold up and the perp got away but left the gun behind, they will come looking for you, and I "think" it's pretty much you need to prove you weren't there, and you better hope the description doesn't mention the description as a kindly and elderly gentleman with a white beard.

Anyway, the record keeping can be a colossal waste of time, and rarely, as in my case I got it back and worth a lot more than I paid for it in 1971, and I don't know about this part since it was insured and they paid me for it at the time of the burglary. I do know what I paid for it because I still have the receipt. It was $107. Right now I do not know, a Series 70, 45ACP? Might be worth $1500, ya think? Colt handguns seem to hold their value pretty good. It's hard to say because I had it Hard Chromed, so a collector wouldn't want it. Doesn't matter to me, it's a damned nice piece.

Wow, did I get off in the woods! Excuse me!

Good hunting. El Bee
