This woman is very upset because she is prevented from looting insured merchandise! Watch the selfie video. WARNING: language may be offensive!

I was just discussing this with someone last night. All these businesses closing because of the quarantine, never to open again, and how many of them will be saved now because their property and inventory were destroyed or lost in the rioting and they will file claims with their insurance companies?

If I recall correctly, I think my homeowner's policy specifically states that they will not cover losses and damage caused by war, rioting, or any other type of mass public uprising. I'm too lazy to dig that out and look it up, but that's what I recall.

Even so, whattya bet Congress passes a retroactive bill requiring insurers to cover these losses. I feel bad for those who lost, but that by itself is a good enough reason to never build in those places again.

And, they won't! This has been proven by the LA Riots. SOUTH CENTRAL HAS NEVER RECOVERED!

In the first place, as somebody who has had to file a claim, you never make out! The insurance companies will chisel you down to fifty cents on the dollar, IF you can document everything. With my receipts, those assholes depreciated firearms! Not for what they were worth, but based on what I paid for a Colt 45Auto in 1970, and I could document that at $109, and then they chopped 10% depreciation. This on a gun that was going for $500 at the time of the loss. I'll probably never get over it, but that was only one receipt that I had.

I also submitted a claim for roof damage in a tornado. But when you file a homeowner claim and the company goes bankrupt in the Northridge quake. Now, nobody will insure you, having files a claim in the previous 5 years. I had to pay a premium for 5 years with a company that insured risks, at exorbitant premiums. What I paid in punishment far exceeded my compensation on that claim. Insurance is a bunch of fucking crooks!

There, got that off my chest! But, for that black bitch to claim that if she riots and steals-looting, that those stores have nothing to worry about because its all covered. She's ignorant and mistaken! And, from that point forward, everybody in the neighborhood is red lined!

End of rant!

Ive heard similar stories many times, but when I had the only home owner claim Ive ever filed, made out like a fat cat I thought?
Was in Florida at the time and my house sitter called to advise a nasty hail storm passed thru and hammered my place. I had to correspond with the adjuster long distance and just knew I was going to take it in the shorts.
Final settlement came in around 15K, $600 was for chicken coop, which was just plain old corrugated tin, when I finally got home I never replaced it, just had slight dents on roof. Factored in was damage to shop, again it is nicer PBR siding, but my eye couldn't see a problem?
All said and done, my son and I roofed the house our selves, went with PBR metal roof instead of shingles, ran around 9K......just lucky I guess?

Yeah, and you better remember and treasure the time you made out with an insurance company because odds are, it won't happen again!
