49 I stand behind our police officers at all levels but this BS cannot be excused.

Exclusive: Tucson PD Evicts Border Patrol Agents Trying to Catch Illegal Escapee
Homophobic remarks and raw politics as law enforcement agencies battle.

A skirmish has broken out in Tucson as one law enforcement agency has barred another from carrying out its mission. The blue-on-blue battle reflects nationwide concern over just how far various policing bodies will go to enforce the nation’s laws and policies toward immigrants.

The row started on Friday when the Tucson Sector Border Patrol reported that a 5-foot-7, 215-lb man had escaped their custody during a visit to Banner University Medical Center, where he’d been taken for evaluation. The man had been arrested for illegal entry near Nogalez, Arizona.

According to a previously unreported posting on the Border Patrol Agency Facebook wall, the Tucson Police not only declined to help Border Patrol but actually evicted them from the Tucson Police Department, where they’d established a task force to try to track down the escapee. The language of the posting reveals the fevered pitch of the animosity growing between law enforcement agencies.

As some of you may have heard through the news tonight an illegal alien has escaped custody of Border Patrol while being given medical treatment at the UMC Hospital.

What you may not have heard is that after reports of the escapee Tucson Border Patrol Sector set up an incident command post at Tucson Police Department. Tucson PD is in close proximity to the incident and the command post was setup correctly by policy.

Management within Tucson Police Department then decided that, “due to the current political climate regarding immigration enforcement they refused to assist Tucson Sector Border Patrol.”

The incident command post was subsequently evicted from the Police Department and no further assistance was given by Tucson PD.

This is now the times we are living in. Where one law enforcement agency has put politics over rule of law and oath of office. Never has Border Patrol or Border Patrol Agents refused or ignored a call for help from Tucson Police Department.

The posting by the union, NBPC Local 2544, has sparked a fiery debate, with a hundred comments mostly from border agents and mostly saying “shame” or “unbelievable.” Tucson resident Jay Dobyns, the legendary Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Agent who became well-known for infiltrating the Hell’s Angels (and wrote a bestselling book about it), told the Observer, “Let’s hope it’s not a trend. There’s always been agency rivalries. That’s the nature of the business. I live in Tucson and I’m concerned about what this will do to the profession. I have never seen this in my 30 years in the business.” He added, “Embarrassing for my town. This is going to have lasting effects beyond the incident itself. We have hundreds of BP agents living in and around the Dirty T. Relationships in LE are everything.”

Adding a layer of political intrigue to the situation is the fact that the Chief of Police in Tucson, Chris Magnus, is gay, and was thought to be the “first openly gay male police chief to marry.” Perhaps predictably in the macho world of law enforcement, this has led some of those who feel that Chief Magnus caved to political correctness in hindering the work of a fellow agency to resort to homophobic language in their private comments.

I agree JP, this is not good.

Sounds political? What is the Tucson mayor's attitude toward immigration policy?

Either way, there are no winners here.

I am against politically correct promotions. The difference between county sheriff and city police chief is that the sheriff is elected and the chief of police in metropolitan cities is appointed and the reason why they are all black or female or Gay or Lesbian. In other words, they hire and promote minorities based on politics, not talent.

I already have complained about this DIVERSITY bullshit. They treat it as if it is Holy Writ, straight from the Mount. Self explanatory, diversity is a sacred goal. But, why? Must we have numbers that reflect the population? What happened to talent and qualifications? You mean to tell me that in the entire city of Tucson, there was not any straight males that were qualified for the job? This is just a wild assed guess; there were probably four or five dozen men more qualified for the job of Chief of Police of the City of Tucson, but they hire instead, a Gay man who was the first to get married. Brings a tear to your eye, donut?

Okay, is it any wonder that the City of Tucson's Police Department is playing politically correct politics with a Liberal bent? I think it's shameful that they decide these things not on merit, but on politics and once you start, it's easy to support these poor immigrants that are just looking for a better life and a decent job. But, they broke the law, Bucko! It's a slippery slope once you start hiring and promoting based on political considerations.

I hear that most cities in New Mexico have a policy of favoritism toward immigrants, legal or not. And, here's the thing. Mexican Americans should be 100% for legal immigration. Why don't they realize that they are the first to suffer by association with wetbacks? But, Liberal Democrats have convinced them that it's a prejudicial slap at all Mexicans, legal, 3rd-4th generation Americans. They should be the first ones to say, we did it the right way, go to the Consulate, apply legally like everybody else. You "wetters" are making everybody else look bad. But, for the most part, they are convinced that they have to stand up for their "brothers". God, it's such a twisted mentality, but they have been sold a bill of goods by Democrats, and can't understand that they are being used for the progressive policies and it's true, these people will be voting Democrat for the next 50 years and then some.

Build the fucking WALL!

Here's another thing.

I am disgusted that Mexico has a political trust fund to defend all the illegals caught up in the legal system in the United States. No, of course they claim that they won't pay for building a wall. Guess why? Because the immigrants send back several billion dollars to relatives back home. It's one of the biggest sources of revenue for Mexico, or WAS, until we started building automobiles in Mexico. Not sure, but it is a big deal, a lot of money.

What the hell is wrong with Mexico? How can they be satisfied with so many of their people leaving the country? Well, in many cases, they always intend to make bunch of money in the US and then even if they don't, they can move back and collect social security down there and live very nicely, thanks to US taxpayers. Think about it? Do Canadians sneak across the border? What is wrong with such a corrupt government that the best they can do is provide legal help for illegals fighting deportment?

Basically, Mexican people are emotional saps. There is little logic to their reasoning. They have an inferiority complex and some kind of national pride that they look at a lot of issues very emotionally. When they send their kids to school for a few years, they get indoctrinated into believing that Americans STOLE their country. This is official government policy. When they come here, they take over Montebello High School and any white kids had better not wear a US flag tee shirt on Cinco de Mayo, or guess who will be suspended? They are indoctrinated with an entitlement attitude. California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas were stolen from Mexico! And, they grow up fro the time they can walk to believe that they are entitled to everything, citizen or not. It's crazy but it makes sense to Mexicans.

I'm not a friggin' racist. This is absolute truth. And, the Liberals won't be happy until they ruin the whole country and give it back to the Indians, the Muslims, the Hispanics, the Blacks and the people that actually built this country will have nothing but the privilege of paying for the dismantling of everything that used to be considered good and decent. Like they say, it all started to change when they realized that they could vote for free stuff.

Good hunting. El Bee

49 - He/She/It is a liberal, pro illegals.

Leonard "Because the immigrants send back several billion dollars to relatives back home. It's one of the biggest sources of revenue for Mexico"

Trump could put a stop to this by EO, so I wonder why he has not.
