Del - you need to up load them to a picture hosting site first. I use hunt 101. It's free, and them's the best kind. No spam or crap added to your PC.

Once there you will need to copy the URL.

E.G.- http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/NL_Deer10.JPG

Then you have to enclose that URL in a bit of UBB code(remove the dots)......

And the pic would look like:

Post edited because I ain't as smart as I thought I was..........

The other thing I do is resize my pic's to 640x480 pixels.

This will result in a photo size that fits most BBS screens w/o invoking a bunch of scroll bars and is very dial-up friendly.

The file above was originally over 2MB as stored by the camera, 130k-ish after resizing.
You loose a lot of resolution but it's better for those of us who live out in the hills and ain't got no high speed connection.

If you do not have decent photo editing software Photoscape appears to be a decent free download.
I like it because you can do batch processing.

When I got to thinking about it, I seemed to remember you had to put them on a hosting site first, and I seemed to remember I had used Photobucket before, so I checked and I already had a username and password. I just played with Photobucket and I can resize the pics right on there. Seems pretty easy.

Thanks for the help, my friend. I greatly appreciate it. I know it's not that hard to post photos, it's just that I do it so seldom on websites other than Facebook that I never have the opportunity to do it enough to remember the procedure.

Once again, gracias.

P.S. That's a fine pic you used for an example, with fine lookin' people and a really nice buck!

The thing to remember is that once you browse your documents or wherever you store pics, you have to upload them, and you will see several options, one of which is usually labeled for use on websites, or some such. Copy that code and paste it in your post and add whatever text you want to say, and just click, "add reply". Instead of code, when it comes up, you will see you photo.

Good hunting. LB
