Oh, btw, I saw a post over there by Randy Black and his sig line has a pic of the famous HM coyote, only reversed. They tried using it before, many years ago, and were a little peeved when they were asked to take it down. Whatever?

I mentioned the rocking chairs, because it seems like most if not all of the veteran and venerable callers that hang here do not hunt this time of year. Makes sense that they would be sitting around, rockin' in talkin'.

I don't hunt much this time of year either, too dang hot. Supposed to be 78F today.

I don't know about the blending or hugging stuff, but it sure wouldn't hurt to try to get along.

I didn't really come here to talk about PM, or HM or any other board. They all have a following and as long as everyone ends up where they want to be, then life is good.

I've never thought this was a "bad" place. Everyone needs to color outside the lines sometimes. HM allows that. Predator Masters expects posters to color within the lines, no big deal. Hell there's even a board now where you can tear up your coloring book, spit at the hall monitor and moon them on your way out.

It's just the internet.

If you don't like someplace why keep trying to go there? You likely won't be happy when you get there.

If you don't like someone, do you think he gives a ratsass about your opinion of him? Or anything else you might say?

So the thing is, those of you who hate my guts will continue to say and do what ever cranks your tractor. Nothing I say will change that. I won't try to tell you what a great guy I am.

But if you want to talk hunting or calling predators then bring it on. I didn't come here with my Dick in my hand looking for a pissing match.

No Ken, that coyote last appeared in Sorelosers avatar wearing the ASU hat, GG glasses and the URBAN neck banner. Tell Lewis that I thought that was well done and very clever. I did enjoy it.

That pic was taken at the Hyder Elementary School. We new the 'yote was in the area from all of the scat on the sidewalks. Full of diaper pins, pacifiers and hair bows.

Browning 204, Here's something to ponder. I am on FP's field staff, and yet I have been 86'd from Predator Masters. How is it that could happen if FP ran the place? I have been hanging out with Mike Dillon for the last few days (and he's a damn good guy by the way) and yet still I don't hang at PM. I don't really care for RedFrog (ask him) and I doubt he really cares or likes me much either. But yet you insist that Predator Masters is ran by FoxPro. It's not.

All the Mods use foxpro (free) and they are plugged like crazy.

Even threads about MINASKA or anyone else have to have someone on the foxpro field staff stop in and say hi or a "sorry wrong thread"

kinda deal. just so the name gets in there, some how some way.

I really don't think that all the mods use foxpro because they are that good of a product.

Well that's the typical spin that I would be expecting from you. Put some blinders on that mule so he can get the same view on life that you have.

It's all about perception and your board has a real hard time getting a grasp on that fact. The shit stirring isn't due to the fact that PM is a Remington, Ford, Stoney Point or whatever board, and you can take that for what's worth.

Ya, I know you have told me in the past that it's none of my damn business and I had better watch my shit or there would consquences. Your intent(so you say) is to make PM that best of the best and you can't even ponder on the fact of what might be the problem or issues and that also goes for most of the mod's over there. If you can't get over the conflict of interest that seems to be quite apparent maybe you or some of them should consider resigning for the good of the board and Will's dream can again come alive.

What's my favorite sound? I like to think it's the sound of a frog gig piercing the skin on a bully frog, but it's really just the sound of a pee-wee going wee-wee on one.

This is my spin on it.

Firstly, a lot of people are mistaken about how PM works and how much control I personally have over anything that is done there. Believe what you want, that is the fact of the matter.
Of course I have a say in what goes on, the same as any other mod there. I'm the guy that gets to send the nasty grams, because I'm the spokesman, not because it was my idea.

No doubt about it, sometimes I enjoy my job. But those times are few and far between.

I do not make the rules at PM anymore than you make the rules here.
This is just common sense. If you post here follow the rules, if you post somewhere else, different rules, same premise.

Is life fair or just? It is not my job to right all the wrongs in the world. I just want to hunt predators. Is it fair that I waste my time dealing with people who have no idea who I am or what they are talking about, but find it fun to run around trashing me? I don't think so.

I don't know why Leonard had his posting privileges revoked. I'm sure if he was interested in posting at PM again he would let me or one of the other mods know.

Whether he was reinstated is up to vote by the mods. It wouldn't be the first time someone was reinstated, it also wouldn't be the first time someone was turned down.

I didn't come here to discuss PM policy but I'm not so naive that I didn't expect to be questioned on it. Here's a question for you.
Why should I waste my time typing with my two fingers to answer a question from someone that doesn't want the truth and simply wants another opportunity to say "Yep that's your spin on it"

I'm not saying that statement applies to you, but it sure does some others.

If you aren't prepared to believe what I say, then don't ask.

If I'm driving in a place with a 70 MPH limit, I'm not likely to drive at 30 MPH because the limit around my place is 30 MPH.

That is one of the attraction here
Course everyhing is a trade off. It's tough to get some of these guys to talk about their hunting.

But, the real issue here is a small group of clinically disturbed folks under the cloak of anonymity, shooting their mouths off; timid assholes suddenly very brave. It's pathetic, and absolutely not a good thing for the sport. Maybe that wasn't the envisioned intent, but that's the turd he laid when he squatted. He can fine tune the hell out of it, but that particular element is always going to cause trouble. Every message board has to deal with it, and here we have "The Land of The Banned" suddenly welcoming just exactly the people that cause 99% of the discord, and it's not just in cyberspace. It's really shameful.

I agree it's bad for the sport. Promoting this sport is an uphill struggle at the best of times. We can hang together or we will surely all hang seperately.

Something I would like to share about Predator Monster and a few of the sickos that the board attracts.

As I have said before, my home address is known, I have nothing to hide. Of course Salman Rushdie, probably said the same thing, also that guy in Holland that was killed.

I said, before that I was able to figure out at least something about where the strange phone calls were coming from. It was a unique email address I used to register on the Okie board, totally inactive, no spam, no nothing. My intent was to lend support for Higgins while they were dog piling him but it quickly turned into an attack on me, including a particularly disgraceful post about how my wife deserved to die because I am such an asshole. Okay the post stood there until Randy Reeves complained about it, and I threatened legal action,at which point, they addopted a bunker mentality.

Okay, so much for the background. Today, I got a package, books for "my child" along with a bill. I spent about fifteen minutes on hold but again, this was an "on line registration, and AGAIN, they gave me the email address that I only used to register on The Oklahoma Predator Hunters Board. This means that the only people that were aware of that email address are the administrators of that message board.

I suspect that one or both of those gentlemen are members of Predator Monsters and are playing incredibly juvenile games with me as the target. This is the type of adult that is using Gary's board for personal attacks, and they should be exposed and condemned by the rest of us. It is a shame that he doesn't see the problem and allows them to do what they are doing.

This is not to say that the whole membership is guilty of this shit, they aren't. But, if he heeds any advice from me, he would get control of that handfull that are guilty.

Yeah, he's the center of attention right now, but I cannot believe he will allow a few bad apples to continue. with their bullshit? And, Gary. Yeah, I got your olive branch the other day. I am still checking a few details, but I already know that some of the things you said, in your email is not true. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you were fed bad information. But why you want, or feel that you need my help, to do what is being done, is a complete mystery to me?

I have found that a red frog dropped into a pot of boiling water will jump out and save itself. The same frog, dropped into a pot of cold water which is slowly heated to a boil, just keeps swimming and will not jump out.
The bottom line? Be aware of what you're acclimating.to pals As individuals, we are dynamic and adaptable beings, constantly moving with the flow of our life. We need to pause and ask ourselves, are we moving in a direction that brings us closer to our true spirit and purpose of these boards ? Or are we losing touch with it?
some can become blinded by there own agenda's as well as by success. , they can be swept away by there true vision by the volatile push and pull of external forces.

Well, if it's visible, I have not logged in since the deal about my wife, so I wouldn't know? Actually, at that time, I couldn't log in because they were logged in under my name reading my PMs to CrossJ and Paul, etc. Never went back. But, if what you say is true, they made it visible, I sure as hell didn't. That sounds like their speed, doesn't it? Fact is, that email address comes from the Okie board, case closed.

So far, and I'm not sticking up for the guy, just making an observation, Redfrog has not done anything that would get him in trouble. It's point for point, tit for tat, and as long as he keeps within bounds, I'm not going to silence him. I do not keep up with what goes on over there, he might be a total jerk, but unlike that board, I will not ban him here for what he did, somewhere else...... Such as recently, where they punched a half a dozen tickets (allegedly) for things that were said on the Blob board. To my way of thinking, we hold the high ground on this by letting him talk, when it's pretty clear that none of us would get very far, doing the same thing on PM, with two dozen fingers on the button analyzing every word.

I actually put in a lot of time on Huntmasters, trying to provide a free speech platform for everybody. I hope it does not go unappreciated and unknoticed, and no, I am not seeking praise. Just know that it is not always easy, and not always as rewarding as it could be. LB

If that's not the case, and I'm well aware you can sign onto any website you choose, based on what you have said here and what you have said in the back office, if I was still there, I'd be scratching my head in absolute wonder.

Thanks Tim, as always I can count on you.

While I don't have enough experience with paying coyote jobs, my own nuisance control work, in one of the ten biggest cities in North America, coupled with the fact that I actually call urban coyotes, leads me to believe you... "not much challenge" indeed.

In the trade, ADC work is usually done in a rural setting working for livestock owners/associations and "Govt" jobs, and the urban environment is the territory of the Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator, who more often works for individual homeowner or neighborhood association.

Nobody, really does ADC work, with a rifle, in a city!

Fact is, in most cities and large towns, not suburbia, and not the boonies, coyotes are virtually protected by cage trapping restrictions, and the fact they're (generally) too smart to go in one.

I've tried it, trapping and calling urban coyotes, it's every bit the challenge a virgin wild coyote is, if not a whole lot more.

I'd dread having to rid the golf course and park behind my house of coyotes, professionally, and I'd bet there isn't a real ADC man here would think it wouldn't be a real challenge to do so.

Make that two "call bullshits"!

Before Redfrog goes buh-bye I got some questions that the PM blackjack squad put lumps on my head for asking.

Why won't PM give me a copy of their IRS Determination Letter approving 501(c)(3) status as required in the regs?

Where is your form 990 that you HAVE to give to who ever asks for it as I have done.

PM claims to be a 501(c)(3)non-profit company. So why doesn't PM appear in the IRS directory of non-profit companies?

Why does the IRS say "Who?" when I ask them about PM on the phone?

I'm not saying PM is not legit or on the up and up, I'm saying I just can't understand why getting answers to questions common to all tax exempt non profits is like pulling teeth on PM.

Because of the stone walling, I have formally asked the IRS to investigat PM. Maybe they will take time from their busy schedule and do it. Maybe they won't. We'll see.

Krusty a fair question, first off I just didn't sign up here, I spoke with both Leonard and Higgins before I registered.

But to be specific to your question, I didn't think I'd be welcomed here, I have only lurked here recently, prior to that I lurk to look at a specific issue then left.

Further being a moderator, having folks that had been banned that came here I didn't think that would be right for me to wear two hats, my personal believe.

If you wear a certain hat, don't go to a certain place, you won't have a problem or be accused of a conflict of interest. Just how I perfer to do business.

No problem telling it like it is, I understand.

Not being too bright I missed the message. Was it "Playgrounds are excellent places to call predators"? " Don't go to a playground without a firearm?" or maybe "If the coyote don't get your young 'un he /she could still be collateral damage from the fire fight?".

I'm not sure how the pic helps hunters, but it could help anti hunters.

BTW Tim, you were leaving as I was arriving. And my memory is a little better than yours. I asked you a question in am email about your success with using a conibear trap to catch coyotes. You gave me some advice that I have used since and it worked fine. thanks

I'm really careful to not take sides in any of my friends' disputes. Very often a friend of mine is wronged or lied to and not so long afterwards makes up with the wrongdoer or liar. (did that make sense?) In those cases, I'm always glad I didn't take sides. Loyalty is one thing, but sticking your nose where it doesn't belong is another.

For years I havn't gone to PM and I know a lot of doo-doo has gone on with many of my friends being banned or burned. I was never witness to these things. Its a damn shame, the board has become an unfair one. Especially regarding the E-caller issues (I have been witness to those threads, I'm just not a regular reader of PM)

Redfrog has always been great to me! Years ago I was threatened and maligned by PM mods and I believe wasn't banned because Redfrog went to bat for me. I left PM anyway, but I appreciated what he did for me. Plus, he's a dang witty writer.

My "giveashitter" is broke. LOL I like that one...

P.S. Hey Red'! Seems i only get to say hello once every couple of years.

You've nailed the built in conflict of interest that drives the place. Our name calling etc. is fringe entertainment.

For any independent media outlet to be controlled by one advertiser is a recipe for disaster IMO. There is no other way to define PM when about half of the moderators are openly on the FP masthead also, no matter how much Frogspro denies that his band only plays one note.

As I've said, it would be like Outdoor Life having half of its masthead editors and writers on Remington's payroll also, and then use the entire magazine to pump Remington and diss competitors, even the ones who pay to advertise there!

There is going to be more knifing behind the scenes and power struggle for control. Unless there are some foundational changes, I'd expect the place to eventually implode, or maybe only diminish into a site that exists to promote mainly one product, FP.

The 501 (c) 3 question adds another layer, a serious one.

Frogspro sure has gone quiet.

BUT I know that he knows, that only residents of Saskatchewan can kill coyote and when the foxpro pro staffer posted a photo and story that he called and killed one wile on a trip up there ON PM, Mr. ------ never pointed out to the gentleman that it was illegally taken,,,, the edited came days later the story photo is now gone.

Leonard, I was noticing those pins, they have CVCA on them not CSVCA, also a life membership pin.

Those green and silver pins, are they event pins or hunt pins? Are those your pins?

Yep, those are my pins. The round "points pins" are the logo of the Covina Chapter, as is the square one next to them, which is the San Gabriel Chapter. They were awarded for turning in a certain number of animals in a season, but I don't remember how many?

Although there were a few CVCA Life Memberships awarded, or CSVCA, (same thing and I don't know how many?) ....the only person I ever heard of, that requested his rightful membership dues exemption was Bob Steinberger? A few raised eyebrows at that one.

The good old days, eh?

I'm doing fine, off the oxygen but a little weak. Yeah, I got all my pins too except a life pin. Some of my pins say CSVCA on them and some say CVCA. They are all back east now along with my jacket and a bunch of other things.

In order to get that life pin I believe you had to be a state president two years or better?
Steinberger is not the only one with a pin, Frank had one too don't know where he got it but I knew he didn't earn it. I think he needed something to put on his jacket.

The good old days, I do miss them. I miss seeing all the guys and gals on those hunts. Watching animals get dumped out ( show and tell time ) Hard to explane to people that never seen it. For sure it was the good old days, we were lucky to be part of it......Sorry to get off the subject lol.
