I got a Nikon coyote special up for sale.
4.5-14 W/ARD, matt-black finish.
I tried the scope on one of my rifles and took it off the same day and still like new.
The coyote special was made for the 223 or 22-250 or cartridges with simular ballistics and mine were'nt even close to the BDC circles so thats why its for-sale..
It has some pretty good glass for a 325.00 scope and also has the side focus..

Asking 275.00.. Thanks for looking... T.A.

What's an ARD?

The missing part of a "vark"?

ARD (Anti Reflective Devise)

It screws on the end of the scope and keeps the sun from reflecting off of the lens. Its pretty neat and dose'nt interfer with looking through the scope. (kinda like a window screen)

Did you not like the circles without crosshairs in them??

Actually I like the circles instead of the cross hair. They work very simular to the battle sites W/out the post or a halo site.
A member from another site gave me a link to a nikon ballistic site where you can compute what load and cartridge you have and they will give you the range for each circle..( no 17 cal ballistics though) So if it don't sell I'll find something to put it on....
When I did mount it on my 17 rem. is was'nt hard at all siteing it in...

Edit to add; When looking through the scope and useing the circles for you aiming point don't consintrate on the center of circle but the circle itself as if it was a dot. Also when aiming at a coyote just put the center of the coyotes shoulder in the center of circle.. The edge of the circle can also be used as a aid for leading youre target when running or for windage..Not sure if a guy can punch 1/4" groups with it all day but it would be good enough for coyotes...

Are you sure on that? If you're referencing the Spot On Ballistics page it has a listing for both the 17 Remington and the 17 Fireball.

Del. I went back to it a few days ago and looked a little closer, must of hit the wrong button and got no load data available. This time I found it or got it to work and it comes up with a chart for
a custom 30 gr. load comeing out of a 17 rem..

The circles come close with a 100 yard zero but I can do better with my BDC dial. I took the scope and put it on another rifle I bring along as a back-up. Its still for sale though or untill I change my mind after useing it some...

Tim, does it have settinngs for 204 Ruger?

I have been looking for one of those. What would you take for it? And, does it come autographed?

Well hell, I guess he dont want to sell it to me. I guess Ill go to Cabelas, they got them in the bargain cave this week. LOL And since it cant be autographed by Asshat, I think Ill get a GOOD scope!

Did'nt see youre post till today. I don't do autographs so you proably don't want it. Yep better off going to Cabela's instead, they would have someone on hand to show you how to use it and could mount it correctly as well. [Wink]

Yeah, it lost its whole appeal. If I couldnt have it autographed by the Mr. Coyote 2010, I would just as soon get a good scope. I like Nikons. Im just surprised a man of your stature and prowess on shooting 700 yard running coyotes with a Pred. would need an additional aid! Kind of ruins my image of you. [Confused]

The scope was given to me for winning the Mr. coyote contest, I did'nt have much choice on the brand or style of reticle. Its a good scope just don't have alot of use for it, prefer to use a BDC dial for those 600 yd coyotes... [Cool]

Edit to add: If you want one bad enough just come up to Pierre this fall and win the contest.

Tim why sell it? Have it bronzed like baby shoes, it will always be a memory of your great accomplishment 2010 VHA MR Coyotee [Big Grin] .

Of course a BDC will outdo a set reticle, as very hard to get one as precise all though they are getting better and better. I have an Bushnell Elite with a 600 DOA reticle sitting a top a new savage model 10 hunter max .243 rifle that should fit the bill nicely for coyotes.

No if it ever warms up to do some real test shooting things will be better, but have been very impressed with this gun with the few rounds down the barrel I have shot!

If it don't sell by spring then it will stay on the rifle I have it mounted on now. No need to bronze it, I got a nice big throphy to go with it..

Tim,

Dave told me he hasn't shot any comps in 3-4years... his kids are taking up all his time with athletics and after school activities. His daughter was swimming against my daughter in a regional competition.

He did say he had just loaded up some rounds for his 22-250 to use on some coyotes! [Wink]
