Finnish Laurie High Carbon Blade, a full 2 1/4" long!!! Overall 8" long. Micarta grip, mosaic pin, fully finished and soldered brass bolster, red carbon spacer.

I tried something new here, and it flew outta the park! This is the coolest handling knife I think I've ever done!

I heard of some guys using surgical scalpels for skinning and dressing, I thought. "What the hey? I'll try it!"

These Finnish made Laurie blades are ideal for this application. Small but tough, hidden tang, super sharp and extremely high quality.

I used a scrap piece of a HUGE micarta block I sold a lung to buy, for building rollers for my new belt grinders. It turned out to be a beautiful natural cedar colored material! Bullet proof and beautiful!

Take a look! This one is a winner!

I'll get some better pics tomorrow. This is a pretty knife, but the usability of this piece is the real beauty!

Sheathed to-order in black kydex and delivered in the US will run $80. (I may make one for myself and it'll be in a pack style sheath. I carry a multi-tool on my belt, the working knives go in the pack.)

Thanks guys!

Traditional, no... but I'm so excited about the way this thing handles. I may not convince you until you hold one in your hand, but...

Here's a couple outside pics...

 - Imagine working with this thing. It's just so nimble and sweet handing. Small enough to do exacto work, big enough to dress and Elk!
