Then there is this abuse of the Federal Forfeiture laws. The killing of Don Scott by a swat team that was instigated by the US forest service/wildlife service 30 years ago. The Forest Service wanted his 160 acre ranch.
Reported in the Wall Street Journal 30 years ago in an article titled 'Never Mind, Only his Property rights were violated." THE WSJ article said "The smoking gun was the Wildlife Service had an appraisal of the property in hand when the raid was executed." I use to subscribe to the WSJ back then. Unfortunately I have not been able to dig up the article online. Probably because the public didn't have the internet and newspapers hadn't gone digital yet.
