Crom laughs at your four winds. (Crude night shift flatulence joke)
Forecasting 110* today. Might be a good day to go to the river and do some bowfishing.

It's a chilly 77 right now!
edit: what river? When "we" say, "the river" we mean the one that divides CA from AZ and flows from CO to Mex. [ August 14, 2020, 06:26 AM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

The historic Gila River. (Pronounced He-La) Runs mostly east / west the width of the state.

I only know the Gila as it crosses US85 around Gila Bend. It crosses the whole state?
They had a huge flood quite a few years ago, washed out the bridge and eventually built a new bridge that seems at least a quarter of a mile long, maybe more? Used to be good but unmercifically hammered.
Good hunting. El Bee
edit: I do know how to pronounce Gila, BTW.

All 650 miles of it cross Arizona. Used to fish its major tributary the San Francisco river every year in April/May, terrific catfish river and the odd trout that drifts down thru the high country.

Mainly flatheads, channel cats and carp. And turtles !!! ............. Lots of soft shelled turtles.
We pronounce some words differently so we know who the foreigners are. Mis-pronounce Prescott and you WILL get a speeding ticket while sitting at a red light.
Gun Show tomorrow Safford fairgrounds. Eat your hearts out Pilgrims.

Yeah, that hurts, ko ko! I don't even bother going to what they call "gun shows" here.
99* right now, in North Upland.

Tillie has a good nose. I'm training her to be a chow hound.
I put her out in the extreme corner while I walked a plate of left over spaghetti to the extreme opposite direction, just about as far away as possible, on this pretty conventional city lot.
I went back and opened the gate and she blazed past me too fast to keep track. By the time I ran over and peaked around the corner, she was already engaged at that plate. I don't know how she found it so fast except she must have followed her nose!
She has still only caught one lizard despite chasing them every day! She's going to make a great hunting dog! Hot Dog!
Good hunting. El Bee
