Watching the Dodgers spring training game yesterday, called in the 7th due to rain.
This morning woke up to rain, about 6 or so? Here it is over 7 hours later and it's still coming down, steady.

So, as usual, it's heading your way. This is Monsoon quality. Except it's not out of Mexico.

Enjoy!

Good hunting. El Bee

PS you do know what is a "mexican raincoat" right?
It's a trash bag creatively modified with holes for arms and head. Usually heavy duty & black! Clear plastic is for sissies.

Heavy clouds. No rain yet today. The weeds in the yard are daring me to come out.
Groovin' to Johnny Rivers' Summer Rain but so far, no help. [Cool]

Rain stopped probably 30 minutes ago, but it looks like more clouds are not too far away. I have not checked the weather report at all, but it looks like more on the way.

From what I'm seeing on the weather reports (98.9% accurate) there's two separate systems. You're under a big one rotating counter-clockwise and we have a system moving up from the south.

Looks like Calif and the rest of the SW is going to be a very wet March according to the Weather Channel. Which will be a good thing for spring. Maybe bad come fall when the Santa Anna winds start.

Ontario International, ONT is about ten miles from me, but down hill and I can see take offs, or during "Santa Ana" conditions, instead, I see landings. But the prevailing wind around here, onshore , and out of the southwest, And, it doesn't take Santa Ana's to turn the planes around, but it is unusual.

Cable airport is much closer and I am just north of the landing pattern, I can see every landing, except when they are going the other way and then I can see takeoffs.

Bottom line, it's very noticeable when the wind direction changes. But, it's only two directions, so that makes it easier to keep track of.

Good hunting. El Bee

I saw actual sunshine poking through about 30 minutes ago! Won't be long, I see a bunch of interesting clouds, down low and fluffy, (if I didn't know better, I'd say looks like snow?) Oh well, nowhere to go, nothing to do.

Went to Costco yesterday for Meds, surprised that the store wasn't packed! I wasn't going to buy anything and endure the checkout lines. Buying from the pharmacy is separate, but in looking around, the lines were short so I decided to stock up on orange juice and, GLORY BE! I saw 4 cases of water! Loaded my basket and as I rolled to the other side where the sign was, just about choked at the price! $15.95! So, I put it back, I don't need bottled water that bad! Besides I already have a case on hand.

I'll be going stir crazy before this is through!

Was talking to a friend that had gone into Williams as far east as I go ,said he witnessed a fight in the family dollar parking lot over some toilet paper ! I just cant believe this shit is this the prelude to some sort of martial law bullshit ! Things are just crazy I was in a Safeway store and the water shelves were cleared I got a couple of cases which is my normal practice but most brands were gone I got two of what was left the paper goods isle was a ghost town shelves empty so if you see me rubbing my ass an a tree limb mind your own damn business its your fault , going out now to find suitable trees !

Yeah, but maybe put them in baggies and refrigerate. Step #2, warm them up ten seconds in the microwave. Step#3, rinse and repeat! We gonna beat this shit, folks!

And speaking of baggies. I peeled carrots and potatoes this morning, and put them in baggies in preparation for the big day tomorrow, St Patrick's Day!

As I recall, simmer the corned beef 45 minutes per pound....or was it an hour and 45 minutes? Just keep it steaming most of the day tomorrow and add all those vegetables the last 45 minutes....or was it an hour and 45 minutes?

Yum! Once a year, Corned Beef and Cabbage! Other than St Patrick's day, I have no use for cabbage.

One last reminder; get yourself a Shamrock Shake from McDonalds. Might as well go there for lunch or something?

That's it. My work is done!

Mickey D's has gotten so expensive that for a bit more coin I can go to Arby's, get better food and they put ads in hunting magazines.

Went to Boise today for 6 month knee checkup.
Almost cancelled it. Wish I would have.
Anyway they screened us at the door. Been out of the country? Been near or close to anyone who has or might have CV? No and No.
Got in early parking lot was empty. PAC comes in washed up (normal) takes a look at knee/leg moves it in and out flat. Said looks good. Washes hands before leaving. Oh by the way all elective surgeries are cancelled until farther notice, no doctor appointments after today. Any problems call they will try to help you get through it.
Basically shelter in place!
They are prepping for the worst and hoping and praying for the best.
The roads were almost like they were 20 years ago. Some traffic but nothing like it has been in the last year down there.
We went through a drive thru didn't want to go inside. Hadn't really eaten anything since last nights dinner. Left a little after 0500 this morning. What a mess this is becoming.
