I see that under the photo there is a link to the 'real' photo because the one posted is 'photoshopped'. Actually, …………………….. the 'real' one looks to be photoshopped. Either way, those barmaids have all the fun.

I knew there was a reason I do not spend time in bars. Never have, never understood the attraction?
Quite a few years ago, my wife and I were assigned the job of securing a site for our club's annual awards banquet. We went to the Elks, Moose Lodges the Eagles, VFW halls, and any other place we could think of. Eventually settled on the Pomona Elks Lodge, which closed down and merged with the one in Ontario, I guess because Veterans are dying off?
We saw several times, there would be men in the parking lot, sitting in their cars and waiting until the place opened at (usually) noon. Then they would go in and sit at the bar and order a $1 can of beer. Myself, I can't explain this unless it's just camaraderie or plain loneliness? What's the attraction of a bar room tan, when you can take your shoes off at home prop your feet on the coffee table and watch porn in your underwear, if that's your style? But to drive to your club, so you can rub elbows with other old farts, and sit in your car until the doors open, I don't get it>
So, watching the Super Bowl in a sports bar with total strangers is another "thing" I don't understand? But, I'm not a drinker, for some reason? I like a beer sometimes, but I have some out in the garage that is probably past the expiration date? I'd rather have fruit juice, but I'm not saying there is anything wrong with drinking beer or drinking it in a bar, but it's not something I do because I have the feeling that bad things happen in bars.
I took my girlfriend, Judy, (Paul knows her) for a drive out to the desert to look at wildflowers sprouting. She saw this crummy little bar that we passed by in Old Woman Springs and asked that we stop in to get a beer. Ten minutes later, some local asked her to dance, which she declined, and this was mid-afternoon. So if the creep didn't want to take no for an answer, was I supposed to beat him up? It just fits, bars and trouble, and she was sorry she made the suggestion in the first place. It always reminds me of my irresponsible Army days and I grew up.
End of rant.
Good hunting. El Bee
edit: this reminds me of something. Same Judy, we went on a evening dinner cruise off Waikiki for a lobster dinner and floor show. Afterwards there was dancing, and Judy's a bit of a senior "looker" and all these Asian guys were all over her on the dance floor. Seriously, everybody, (90% Japanese and Korean) wanted a piece of her and she lapped it up. Don't get me wrong, everybody had a good time and this was hardly a bar venue, but Judy likes to have fun and I'm a stick in the mud. [ May 07, 2019, 07:27 AM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

Put myself through college playing in a band. Played both kinds of music - country AND western. After that, worked for the sheriff, then EMS. Pretty much had my fill of drunks by then. Not a teetotaler, I can enjoy a cold beer sitting with a bunch of friends giving each other shit on the driveway or around the firepit when the evening weather's nice. Just got to the age that one night of alcohol-fueled fun means three days to recover.

No Paul. He's saying, (and don't give him too much credit, I've heard it before) he's saying BOTH KINDS OF MUSIC, and he means just that: no classical, no rock, no rap, whatever the hell that is? Nothing else. Just COUNTRY, and WESTERN. Ha Ha!
Whatever, people that can play an instrument are strange, sorta like from outer space, but different. It's Greek, to me. Sure, give those that can do it credit, it might as well be Rocket Science. I knew he was different but just couldn't put my finger on it. Shit, I can hardly play the radio, and in the case of my new car, I really CAN'T play the radio, haven't figured it out yet, and I keep forgetting to load some CD's.
One more thing. Paul, stay out of Applebees. That place really sucks. The only problem with Chile's is the waiters are always trying to sell you stuff, more appetizers, pour your beer for you and anything else they can do to pad the bill. But, you probably won't get beat up in there, like at TGIF, Red Robin or BJ's.
Just kidding, Lance) I'd like to spend a month, some weekend, in Kansas.
Good hunting. El Bee
