I drive a fork-lift on night shift........lemme see if I can find you some sympathy.. Nope!

I told one of the cart pushers who was half frozen "Hey, if you don't like cold weather you shouldn't have moved to Arizona."
He hasn't spoken to me since.

It was 26* on my patio last night. Living in Paradise ain't for sissys but the wood-stove & the sunrises make it all worthwhile.
And the quail.......got about 50 quail in the back yard right now. [Smile]

No, wait!
WHY WASN'T I TOLD!
NOW WHAT?

This blows up all my plans!

I was assured, that Arizona is tropical? I remember one of our members talking about "cut offs" and flip flops all winter long. The name escapes me right now, but it starts with a k.
Anybody?

It's only sposed to get to 65 today in Upland. So, I'm not going outside until it warms up!

All this cold weather proves GLOBAL WARMING!

Good hunting. El Bee

I"m glad to see it cool off. It happened on the 20th and it was a perfect day to call. Unfortunately the coyotes had a different idea. The 20th was the multiclub hunt. This year we had four clubs participating. My club, Phoenix Varmint Callers, took first place with 140 points with 2 foxes and 6 coyotes harvested. The second place club was Xtreme Predator Callers, XPC. They finished with 130 points with 9 foxes and 2 coyotes. XPC usually wins because they concentrate on cats which is why they get so many foxes. The total body count was real low considering how many teams where afield. PVCI had 7 teams afield. I cannot tell you what Arizona Predator Callers did because I left check in at 8:30 at which time APC had one coyote. The fourth club I am not familiar with and they didn't have anything when I was there. Dammit, the winners have to provide the dinner at check in.

You mean cut-offs & flip-flops ...... OUTDOORS ???
Maybe this afternoon when it warms up a bit more.
It's still about as cold as a mother-in-law's greeting kiss this morning.
It's OK, though. We're past the Solstice, the Equinox is coming and the young man's thoughts turn to..........Bowfishing Carp Spawning In The Shallow Water !!!!!!

Now that you mention it, I have seen places in Mexico, which never gets as warm as Arizona and these places all had windows but no glass. As in, outside and inside was the same temperature, with shade.

I also have been soaked by a sudden downpour, just crossing the street, in Arizona, probably as a result of GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE. This proves nothing, but 26degrees on ko ko's patio is genuinely something of concern, if you expect this Amigo to pull up stakes and emigrate eastward, no more than 500 miles. Because then, I'd be in a new Mexico.

Do they have monsoons in Safford? I forget? Quickly, what was it that lured you to Safford? Don't say, the climate! I mean, is there a choice in decent Mexican restaurants within walking distance? Is housekeeping services reasonable? Do you need a license to operate a forklift in Arizona? At Walmart? In Safford?

So, what's the good news, if the climate is suddenly ca ca? And, don't tell me; but it's a dry heat!

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: beat you to it! NO DAYLIGHT SAVING!

edit: and can you drive your forklift home for lunch on the graveyard shift? In your flip flops and ear muffs?

Yes Leonard, they do have the monsoon season in Safford, and the monsoons start earlier in the Southeastern deserts.

Just be aware, the Mormons will want you to join the brotherhood.

[Cool] Ah.............The Monsoon !!!!
No fireworks display that you've ever seen can match the grandeur of a lightning storm in the desert on a warm summer night.
Then a quick rain shower and everything just smells right with the world.
Unless you're camped in a dry wash; then you got problems.

Dave;
I've always wondered what the basis of the Mennonite faith is ???
I know that they're somewhat clannish, hard-working and close to the Amish but embrace more modern items like trucks over horse & buggy.
Any insight on what separates them from other faiths ???
Thanx.

REPLY: None whatever?

How do you distinguish them from the Polygamists? Or, space aliens, for that matter?

Our General manager was/is an elder of some sort in the Mormon faith. He brought in a decent looking young man from his church that had decided he weren't gonna go on "Mission." I don't know what the deal was but he seemed a normal type, in the broad sense of the word? Of course, that sort of thing, (as I understand) is almost unforgivable. I don't even remember what happened to him, and who cares?

I also "know" a woman who's husband left her, and she was a good obedient Mormon wife and all. First thing she did was get a boob job. This woman would never need to wear a bra, but damn! those nipples were, well, memorable! Others I am aware of are like sucking on a peanut, in the shell. <shrug> Yes, there seems to be a wide variation in.... whatschamacallit? Anyway, Loralee had some very interesting nipples, hard to explain?

Where were we? Yes, I am aware that our Mormon friends are out there, and in many states besides Utah. Around here, the young men wear black slacks and a white short sleeve shirt with tie, some type of trainers and a stupid looking helmut and riding a bicycle. In pairs, always. You can't miss them, or mistake them. A rite of passage, I'm sure. A male, in the Mormon faith has it made. You will not fail. That's about all I know, or "think" I know?

Mennonites? I wouldn't recognize one if I saw one? Do they dress like Amish? Haven't seen them either, except on TV. Every once in a while I see a church with a sign saying, "Coptic" and apparently that is an ancient religion from Egypt? I think it's kind of Christian?

I hold no grudges against any religion, including Jews, but I am deeply suspicious of Muslims. So, sue me. What's the point of blowing up total strangers? I do not get it?

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: PS, I do not know his reasons, but for what it's worth, Ruth, Nevada is good looking country. Very remote, along the "Loneliest Highway in America" US 50. I love it. LB

Okay, I accept that clarification.

I will repeat something I have said many times. That if there is another full scale WORLD WAR, it will not be these countries versus those countries, exactly. It will be a Religious War and it will be forced on everybody by radical Islam.

I'm convinced the next war will be every country, every faith every race aligned against Muslims. Not that everybody will pursue Islamists but reasonable people will grow tired of the radical and their outrageous actions.

This war that I can see coming in ten years, or fifty years, I can't tell how long normal people will continue to accommodate these radicals, but I think it's coming and it won't end well for the Muslims. It will shut them up for a couple centuries, but the bastards won't give up until they are culled from the population.

Basically, they have nothing, this "religion of peace". Walking around in robes and sandals and a stupid towel wrapped around their head is strictly Ninth Century and they haven't advanced culturally a nickel's worth since then. This Jehad against Jews is ridiculous. Against the WEST. Against the Modern World!

I once sort of worked with a Muslim, he was Pakistani. Actualy, he was part of a contractor crew that was in our plant for two days. He seemed reasonable, almost normal the first morning. After lunch, something happened. He accused me personally of something I was never able to figure out? He started talking exactly like a bomber type, very calm about what he would do, if called upon. It was so clear that the guy had no fear of death, it was reasonable and normal and I was astounded by how casual he talked about his sacrifice, if called by Allah. A true religious NUTCASE. And yet, four hours earlier, he looked and acted completely normal. It was scary. But, that's it, I have realized this truth ever since and it was way before 9-11, around 1985 or so? We need to kill these guys, they truly want it. It's a no lose situation, a martyr for Allah goes immediately to Paradise where he will be greeted by 72 virgins. He didn't get into the nuts and bolts of the promise but I could see that he was sold on the inevitable. If he didn't die then, well, there was the next time. How can you understand somebody with an attitude like that? And, this wasn't on TV, and it wasn't since 9-11, it was many years before any of this stuff, and I have known. This is the way of the world for them. Like any unreasonable fruitcake, you will be forced to kill them or be killed.

Of course, most of Europe will be already converted. This country might be the last great hope for humanity. Oddly, I think Russia will be on our side, the population contains a lot of Christians. It's coming people. They won't let us avoid it.

Good hunting. El Bee

Koko: I'll tell ya what I know.

Nobody around here heard of a Mennonite until about 15 years ago. They have a colonization committee or committee's ?

They seek rural areas, based around agriculture. They are farmers-custom farmers-welders-construction ect. Blue collar all the way.

Women don't work jobs. They are like modern Amish, I guess ? they use modern farm equipment, cell phones & internet. No TV..

Social media is not allowed, they do have their own blog groups though. They have a church & school just down the road from my house. They go to 8th grade & they graduate.

Women wear homemade dresses & a black bonnet on top. Men wear the usual jeans plaid shirts & such.

The men wear short trimmed beards. I think they grow it when married. Some don't have beards because not all men can grow one. That's ok though.

The ones around here came from Central Valley Kalifornia or Kansas, near as I can tell ?

Oh on another note you are right they are clannish as you can probably tell from my post. Yet on the other hand, I've been invited down to the church several times now. Chili feeds & such, recently a Christmas deal for kids. Never been yet, I'll go to one though some time for the heck of it. They are expanding and have a church on the other side of the river in Oregon. They are farming over there now. I probably know 80% of 'em around here ?

Whew, I'm tired [Smile]

I would personally take them up on the invite. Foods no doubt pretty good and chatting with them about their faith would be interesting.
We had some Mennonite back in Mich. but I never really got to know any of them. They never struck me as the raving, wild-eyed, fanatic wearing a bomb vest type and I regret not learning more about them and the Amish.

You need to look for a minor fault in the palm of their hand. They can shift shape too. Their eyes have a vertical pupil, just like viper. And, they want to take over our world. They incubate their larva in pods, hidden in caves and warehouses. The adults can hypnotize, read minds and you are powerless to resist unless wear a tinfoil hat. This is no bullshit, I read it on Infowars.

I can't prove this, but I heard their headquarters is deep inside the pyramids, there's actually a secret entrance. I'm talking at least two of the bigger ones, like an anthill they are loaded with 'em, like zombies! Captain Video used to have all this information but they, (the CIA) put him under house arrest last summer, waterboarded, the whole nine yards.

I think Leonard is right. Its possible they might have got here VIA some type of star gate ?

My guard is certainly up. In the summer in downtown Ontario they have some kind of market deal ? they sell home made stuff.

I've heard the pies are spectacular ?

If, I buy one. I'll give a bite to my dog first. Wait I love her, dang, what's a guy to do ?

Paul: before I hit the rack..Lol

I'm unsure if our winters are all that different ?

Last year was the shitz..4'-5' of snow depending. 20 below a few times.

On average, I would guess about a foot or so of snow is normal. The coldest so far this year was 8 degrees above. Many nights in the lower teens.

We are on the lower end of the valley & fog is an issue. Say temps are in the teens & foggy=cold as shit !!

Sometimes wind chill is a factor. Not a biggie. We have three rivers come together here, they can create their own weather somehow ?

I see yesterday was a warm one but today is a bit more normal at 39 degrees this morning.
Speaking of Mennonites, There is a farm market just over a mile from me and they do produce a lot of vegetables and baked goods and some craft type stuff ,rugs, carpenter bee traps etc, etc.
You do have to watch out on the roads as they drive horse and buggies around here anyways. They seem to be very friendly and all wear the same cloths it seems. Was told they have their church meetings at each others homes instead of a regular church building. There are 3 communities of them around where I live here.
And churches, wow, in the local rag they have a listing of churches that takes up 2,yep, two pages.Mostly all Baptists. But there is one LDS church and one Quaker church.
I got married to a Mormon girl and her tits are pretty nice and warm though.LOL.
I know leaving Nevada was a severe change for me and I can not tell you how much I miss those wide open spaces I got accustomed to. But when you are offered a home to live in and land for free I bit the bullet and moved. Otherwise I would still be Fagafornia bashing from Nevada.
And speaking of Fagafornia.I heard on the news that enlightened state wants one half of the tax break money the companies get from that new tax deal in their state. What is that about? Seems beyond stupid.
And that's enough dribble from me for the day. I'm gonna go back to bed and play with those warm tits lolAfter I let the dog back in the house.
