My wife and I spent considerable time up in Ash Fork this summer. After much consideration we have decided to put a manufactured home on the property and stay there permanently. This will do away with a mortgage all together. we sent the final payment on the property last month and it is free and clear. With the proceeds of the sale of our house in town we will be able to do all that is necessary water tank and pump, 200 amp elec. until I can complete the solar , gas , septic ect. an additional storage container and a new 1200 sq. ft. home. We will be living in the little trailer for about 6 weeks. I am beyond exited.
The big concession I must put her in an extended stay hotel in the valley for the months Jan. and Feb. and take her to see the Grandkids once a month. Imagine the horror of spending trapping season alone. In her defense it can get damn cold.
I am going up Friday to meet with APS the local electric utility about bringing the power in. I will have some tough choices coming up as I rise in the morning do I go calling or work on the chicken coop.

Man! That is a big fucking deal! For sure!

Sounds so delicious, I don't know why we never thought of it until now?

Umm? Nearest hospital is probably Flag? My cousin's ex husband collapsed on his porch in Mormon Lake and was helicoptered into Phoenix, but never regained consciousness.

Be that as it may, HELL YES! I'm happy for you!

Good hunting. El Bee

A choice you'll never regret...good for you Paul. If I didn't have open space, animals around, dogs able to roam at will on the place, ability to step out front and piss under the stars, I think I'd go bat shit crazy.
It won't take you long, living out there, to wonder how you ever suffered thru living in town.

That's great !! I'm glad to hear it Paul.

Living in town sucks, I know, I can't take much more. Should only be a few more weeks myself.

Think of no more sirens, traffic kids dogs whatever. Peace 'n quite [Big Grin]

Good for you Paul. A decision you will never regret. I don't think I could go back to town living. The opportunity to shoot, hunt and trap just outside the door make it worth it.
