On my old CS24, the remote has an auto volume setting, what does that do?

I think that automatically raises and lowers the volume while it's running. Like you could set it to go between 20 and 34 or something and it will slowly keep going up, then slowly back down.

There's a feature I didn't know existed? To ponder for a moment, very limited application, I'd guess?

Probably created by a computer weenie rather than a seasoned hunter? maybe?

Thanks Dave, I managed to reprogram my remote in the dark the other morning and found the auto volume when I was sorting it out.

Good info, Dave.
I always thought that feature was like "volume leveling" on a TV, where each channel was 'leveled' to the same db output?
Seeing as some sounds have a higher output volume than others, I just assumed that was the case? I never turned the feature on to test it, so the above was an assumption on my part...

Well, this got me curious , so I went to the Foxpro Site..

Hey, one of my Weems Dual Tone calls does that but I think that it's 'cause one of the reeds is loose.

Yeah koko.

Too bad it's probably out of warranty? For five bucks, the damned thing should last more than thirty years!

What a ripoff! What can be done?

Anybody?

Actually, the cost / coyote ratio for my Ebay purchased Weems calls is pretty reasonable.
Same with my used & abused FoxPro 416. It's paid for it's self many times over.
I just can't bring myself to drop the coin on new & improved features that I would never figure out how to use, anyway.
