..as Im sitting around watching, "Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!", Im playing with my newest Ecaller. I "needed" to upgrade a little, so bought me a new CS24C. Sweet remote I must say.

I love that remote too. First time I saw it, I had to trade in my CS24 for the new C model.

I had the money saved up for the CS 24C, but found a rifle that I couldn't live without. Wish I would have bought the caller. I really didn't need another .223 Remington..... LB?

Same here... I was wanting a little Browning T bolt .22 mag, just because.. but I got the caller instead.

I don't think Foxpro does do trades, but I'm not sure either. I really just sold my old CS-24.

Use that new remote one time and you'll never want to use the old one again. It's way easier.
Of course, I just play the same sound, on every stand, never change. I have actually talked to FoxPro about just making me a remote the size of a key fob with on/off and volume - it's all I actually need.

Mark, I'm guessing you're like early 40's ?
Have you lost your close range vision yet ? reading those remotes can be a bitch. That looks like it might be easy to see, without readers ?

That's funny. I work with a couple of guy's mid 50's that refuse to wear glasses..Lol
It hit me about 6-7 years ago, when I was 43-44 ? One day, I just couldn't read an invoice.
The wife is 46 now, I noticed she was wearing my readers from time to time a few years ago. She now has a few pairs as I do, floating around everywhere.
It's funny, I loan mine to our farmer customers all the time. When you turn the computer screen around for them to see. It's like shit, I forgot my readers in the pickup !!
It gets to be almost comical sometimes. It's like, hey dude, where's my glasses !!

It has been raining here today. We've been in a drought for several years. Precipitation has picked up considerably this fall - greener around here right now than it was this spring.
Forgot to add: Mark, have you loaded any sounds on your new Foxpro? Can you remove the proprietary ones and store them in a file on your PC? That piece of shit Mojo I have won't do it. If you remove preloaded sounds in the .moj format and try to save, they disappear forever.....

Don't know, I have not messed with it much yet.
I plan on playing with it next weekend. It's got way more sounds than I'll ever use, so not sure how much adding or deleting I'll do?
I do know that I'm literally sick of Lightning Jack and can't even stand to hear it on TV when someone is playing it. A couple other sounds fall into that category as well. I like the snowshoe hare sounds myself.

You can copy the sounds off your FoxPro to your computer. The FoxPro software will back all your sounds up automatically every time you add or remove, if you want it to.
But I think that CS24 holds something like 500 sounds? Not sure, but it's more than I'd ever want on my caller.
You can put whatever sounds on it you want, too. I use a sound I recorded myself about 95% of the time. It probably doesn't actually work any better than Lightning Jack, but at least I know nobody else is playing the same one I am.
And, as far as that goes, I didn't record Lightning Jack, but did record a lot of the other FoxPro jackrabbit sounds. The one I use, has a lot of noise in it, and some clipping and other things that would make it not useable for FoxPro, people expect perfect sounds. It works though.

That's very true, Dave. If some of the "purists" were to listen to the cassette tapes and 8 track tapes we used to play over and over again, they would swear that those sounds would never call a coyote.
But, without exaggeration, I bet there are not many that have called more coyotes, and with such inferior sounds. Back in the old days, northern Nevada, on a decent night, we probably averaged fifty animals. Not that they would all come in, or in groups, which cuts into the body count quite a bit. If I had to pick a number, it would be difficult, because September is a lot different than December, but I think I could safely say 7 to 10 animals a night in the truck with another couple the next morning....with the most laughably scratchiest sounds you ever heard.
And, selection? Why hell, we had maybe six that we used all the time. I could hear it in my sleep. By that, I mean cat and coyote sounds and a couple coaxers, total. It's all about confidence. The only time we went to something different was when absolutely nothing was happening.
And, don't forget, back then, it had not caught on, nobody else was out there and if we saw somebody working a light, chances were very good I knew them. Not at the time, but touching bases at check in, we would learn who was over yonder.

Money was better spent on the caller than on a T-bolt, tried to like one but couldn't get over the trigger and 2 10-32 "action" screws not to mention the plastic magazine, trigger housing etc.
That remote looks very easy to use (read see) I wonder if they can upgrade a CS24?
I might have a little money put back if it weren't for the Internet and all the gotta haves I see...
