Picked up an `Extreme Dimension Wildlife Calls, Phantom Calls, Pro-Series` W/Remote this morning at a yard sale. Like new, used once or twice, $40.
Anybody have any experience with one of these units?? Is the Les Johnson chip worth getting to go with the predator sounds that it came with??
I got it mainly as a back-up 'cause the price seemed pretty good.

I had one of the first Extreme Dimension calls, but have not seen the new ones. If the sounds are nice and clear, the Les Johnson sounds may be worth a try if the price is right. I have never heard his sounds, but I know that he calls a lot of coyotes.

I still have one of the older Extreme Dimension calls, the one without the remote. It has called in quite a few critters. Good caller. About the only complaint I have with it is it freezes up and doesn't work in colder (teens and below) temps.

A little history. The couple behind Extreme Dimensions had a website and when Will Craig decided to leave "Posse Country" where he and I were both moderators, he asked both Scott Huber and I to moderate his new board, which he named, PREDATOR MASTERS. Scott told Will that he would only moderate the predator forum if I also moderated that forum. In the meantime, I had not responded to Will's request but he signed me up anyway. I was briefing Bob (who owned Posse Country) about how Will Craig was poaching all his moderators, and Bob was very pissed off about it. I continued to moderate both sites for a while before switching to Predator Masters and moderating both the predator forum and the firearms forum. Before Will died, he turned over Administrator duties to me. Stuff continued to happen, just like soap operas, but that's how it started.
Good hunting. LB

Yeah. Will tried to sign me up too. Ultimately PM was a big success overnight with all of Posse Country's membership transfers. Poor Bob.
BTW... Whatever did happen to the Dixie Chicks? I always laugh when I read my handle here. [ June 09, 2012, 02:12 PM: Message edited by: Jay Nistetter ]

That brings back some memories...
I remember AzWill; aka Will Craig, sending out a mass email to all Posse Country members to come check out/join the new site.
I also remember Will supporting the Extreme Dimension Phantom caller in a big way. I guess they were picking up the tab for the newly formed Predator Masters site?
Anybody remember the story where on one of Will's test runs with the new caller, he posted that he called in a herd of javelina and while he watched them hover around the e-call a lion jumped out of the brush and snagged a javelina for dinner. All right in front of his eyes and all due to the new Phantom caller.
I always kinda wondered it that was actually true or just some tall tale to promote the Phantom. Not to piss on his grave or anything, but it made me question his story.

Leonard I actually liked their music.
Lonny I don't recall that story but there was a lion photo that Will posted once with a big story about calling it and how to call lions and such. He got his ass handed to him because it was someone elses lion.
Will's #1 vision was to make money selling add space. Davis wouldn't hear of it so Will went off on his own.

Yes, you are on the right track, Jay. Will Craig's "vision" as opposed to what they like to say on PM, was first and foremost, a business motivation. He most assuredly was in it to make a buck. And, I agree, Bob Davis is, (and was) comfortable and his contributions were more noble in nature. As a person of modest means, I also never tried and never made a dime from this stuff.

Well, as someone who didn't discover "internet hunting" until '05 (I think), I always thought Will Craig was the guy we should all pattern our internet life from.
Yeah, yeah, I know, I've come a long way on the www in 7 years, camera and all.

Oh dear! I hope your bubble remains intact? Will was a good guy, my friend, and I guess I can have an opinion about his motivation as much as the next guy. Especially all those folks that didn't know him. We met for the first time at the TOM MIX HUNT. Hell, I don't even know when that was, exactly....but it snowed that day. He did, in fact, pick your's truly to continue his "venture/vision" when it became clear that he didn't have much time left.

Yeah the good ol' Posse Country days, that does bring back some memories. I especially loved the discussions that Scott and Sceery used to have.Quite entertaining to say the least.
And also when Predator Masters was first started. That's when it was a legit predator board with good guys and good info, now it's a freakin joke.
