I got some calls in the mail the other day and thought i would share them with ya. These are no-nonsense working man calls, nothing fancy. The tone boards on them are simuler to the ELK yote buster call and hand made. They are very LOUD for a call, easey to use, and fit well in the hand.
The call on the left has a narrow tone board compared to the other two. It works great for makeing female coyote and pup vocals and also does well makeing rabbit screams and high pitched sounds.
The call on the right has a wider tone board and thicker reed and the tone board in the middle is the same except it has a thinner reed.
It can make some of the loudest barks i have heard so far from a howler and loud howls as well.
The name of the calls is Dakota Howlers, made by a retired Gov.'t trapper by the name of Steve Thompson. He makes a dam good call and if you are in the market for a new call give him a shout..
E-mail address is: Rattler51@pie.midco.net

I have a couple more good calls i'll post on a bit later... T/A

TA, both Steve and Jerry live here in Pierre and you are right both make some great sounding calls. It is worth anyones time to call and talk to either one. Both have alot of experience calling coyotes. Their calls have proven themselves here over and over. Simple and effective, with a wide range of sounds from vocalizations to distress in one call.

TA, I like your skull board! If you're interested in whitening them up you can soak them upside down in household peroxide and it will make a huge difference. The soaking loosens the teeth in the sockets, thus the upside down soaking so the teeth won't fall out. Once it dies out they won't fall out.
