I just paid my Property tax. Here, at least, it’s twice a year. They make a big deal “FREE” if you use the echeck, which is tapping your checking account, but I don’t have that kind of money in my checking account. So, I paid with a VISA card. You know how they charge businesses a 4% fee for each transaction?
Not in this case. They charged me almost twenty bucks. Same old thing, stick it to the citizen. Last time, the tax collector site is so complicated that the time drifted past midnight when I finally clicked the final button. BUT, it didn’t work. They shut the site down at exactly midnight and I had to pay a $300(approx) penalty by the time I finally submitted payment.
Same thing, every year property taxes go up. The assessed valuation doesn’t make sense at all, but in spite of me voting NO every year, they manage to pass water fees or weed abatement or school stuff and jack my property taxes, 58 bucks here and $3.41 there, and every year, the final tax is different and higher. Every fucking year, people vote for a minor tax increase on a half a dozen items.
There are a couple things that I vote on very consistently. I vote NO on every fucking judge running to be elected rather than appointed. And I vote NO on every fucking BOND ISSUE! Doesn’t seem to matter; as Joseph Stalin famously opined; “it doesn’t matter who is qualified to vote, what matters is who counts the votes!”
I’m sure they are very careful about counting votes, but all these chickenshit little Bond measures pass and we pay for them henceforth, in perpetuity! Maybe these assessments expire after 100 years or so? Who knows? But all these taxes really suck! I’m sick of it! My crummy little pension never changes, 20 years so far and it’s the same number; no cost of living increase. But the cost of living increases, every day!
OK OK, end of rant. It doesn’t matter, it feels good to have this stuff over with, until December, at least. I sweat bullets every tax deadline. My suspicion is that The People’s Republik has the highest taxes in the entire country. Our Democrats really know how to stick it to us citizens! END OF RANT!

Constitutional Amendment's
I would repeal the 23rd which allows residents of District of Columbia to vote. That’s an extremely ill advised amendment because the district is always 95 percent or higher Democrat. They had a good reason to deny voting in the district in the first place and nothing has ever changed. Whatever Republicans voted for that had rocks in their head!
Another close to my heart is the 26th amendment giving the vote to 18 year olds. That is ill advised, for kristsake, they are in high school and only care about their parents buying them a car, and whatever else those kids care about? But you can count on them being immature and they do not have the values of an actual adult.
The 19th? Women’s suffrage. IDK? OK, never mind.

There used to be a guy that did skit type, or spoofs on the Beach in Venice. He always had stupid polls, and people would sign them without realizing the actual content. Very funny stuff. He had a very sincere attitude promoting the dumbest shit, and these people always took him seriously.

Well, not only that. But, speaking as a moderately educated man; I have to say that the education system in the United States is a failure. Partly, at least in this state, the Teachers Union is responsible for sub educating students in primary public schools. This is why they have indoctrinated the kids with fucking pronouns at the expense of the 3 R’s reading, ‘righting, and ‘rithmatic.
I can promise you that a high school graduate of the 50’s, 50’s and 70’s have more practical knowledge than any current COLLEGE GRADUATE. These day, it seems to me that all they learn in any college and for sure in the highest rated and elite universities, all they learn is LEFT WING POLITICS and the actual DEGREE is given away and not earned, or can be demonstrated as knowledgeable in the subject matter of their degree! These degrees are almost rubber stamped and it’s shameful the utter lack of demonstratable KNOWLEDGE these graduates actually possess.
Or, something easy where they sit at a friggin’ keyboard for 4 years, and can drive a car with their smart phone. And, they cannot add without the MATH APP and cannot write in the English language without spellcheck. And PLAGIARISM is epidemic! Just cut and paste really good stuff and they get straight A’s and they all average 4.0 and they literally don’t know shit!
Anyway, that’s my opinion of the state of education in today’s Academia. And they do get a diploma that says that they are educated, and it only cost a parent the price of a 4 bedroom house!
End of rant!

The irony is that after all of that college ed-u-macation for some bullshit degree, they have to hire somebody who went to trade school and is making $50 .... $75 ..... or $100 an hour to fix their plumbing, wire an outlet or make their car go zoom-zoom again.

Well, there again, I just paid a plumber $6,500 for about 8 hours work! Last week, in fact. VISA, in fact.
Totally serious issue involving tree roots!
That’s rather fair wages, I think?
It’s kinda hard to relate apples and orange costs; ya know?
I’m thinking that earthquake might rattle the underground plumbing enough to cause some cracks in joints, hard to say? But it does happen and that’s why they get the big bucks to get their hands dirty.

It comments on the state of higher learning. The fact is, education in America has become less instructional and more of indoctrination. Sort of what I was trying to say above. Of course, I blame LIBERALS! It’s really hard to believe how they have plain taken over education/the school system, lock stock and barrel!
Try to comprehend that the public school system indoctrinates our children, pumps them with outrageous concepts, you can be a boy if you want, if you are a girl, or you can be a girl if you want, if you are a boy….but let’s keep all of these decisions secret; your parents don’t need to know, in fact, it’s none of their business!
In other words, conspiring with children and making sure that the parents aren’t told, in fact, go to great lengths to keep all information from them. These concepts do not make sense to anyone besides LIBERALS. As you know, Liberalism is a proven mental illness and “Mentally Ill” people are grooming our children and programming them with confusing concepts about their sexuality. A good percentage of these kids are ruined for life, all without any input and very little understanding of exactly what the school system is planning for innocent children. Children too young to understand the lifelong ramifications of these decisions. In my opinion, it’s criminal, and the councilor's should be charged and arrested. It has got out of hand and we need to get back in charge of out own children.
