Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. Even that government guy who monitors this site.

He claims it’s strictly informal, no intent to collect evidence, or any of that shit. Even so, it’s best to use your alias, Richard. Just kidding!
Good hunting. El Bee
PS Man this new computer is driving me nuts! Amazing how you get used to one thing. This is what’s called a “Tablet” and the screen is active. Takes a lot of getting used to, I mean-a LOT!

Wow! You know, I’ve never heard of that web TV except one time I was at Higgins place and he had it. It was actually laughable, it’s so retarded. I don’t know if or when he got rid of it but I hope it was soon. Thanks for that blast from the past!
But actually, this thing I got is called a TABLET. I made a mistake and plugged the separate keyboard for recharging, and found out the next morning that the actual tablet didn’t recharge at all.
And, the screen is interactive. My MacBook Pro, the keyboard worked everything, but this thing, you don’t really need the keyboard at all. You can touch the screen and wipe it and change it and I have to be careful while typing that my knuckles don’t accidentally bump the screen and wipe out everything!
I know, it’s hard to understand. For those, like us, of a certain age, new technology is scary. And, etc.
Good hunting. El Bee

WebTV was entry level simple. Everything made sense and was easy to understand. The only downside was that it was slow and as the internet got faster, WebTV could not keep up.

Yes, that’s that progress thing they been talking about. It’s similar to the weapon deal, where they transitioned from primitive bows and arrows to AR15 machineguns. Awesome!

At the Outdoor Expo one year they had a Mini-Gun set up and would fire it off at intervals, I believe on the hour. The closest I could describe the sound it made would be if a chainsaw could roar. THAT was awesome !!!!!

Oh Yeah, there's a group up in Krusty Kountry that promotes the fifty. They go to gun shows with a big banner; "ANYTHING UNDER A 1000 YARDS IS TOO CLOSE". It will dust a cinder block like a well hit clay bird. Ammo's a wee bit pricey, though.

Yeah, but I’m looking at the Natchez Flier and 50BMG ain’t the only insanely priced cartridges!
So I went to the Library and retrieved the December catalog.
CCI BR2 Benchrest Large rifle primers $134.99 per 1,000 45ACP+P 20/box $28.49 (that’s $1.42 each) Hornady Match 300PRC 225gr 20/box $50.99 (that’s $2.55 each) Remington TSS 3” 20ga. 5/box sale $46.99 ($9.40 each) Weatherby 300 WBY Mag 180gr. TTSX 20/box $95.49 ($4.77 each) Berger 300Norma Mag 230gr. 20/box $104.99 ($5.25 each) Barnes 338 Lapua 280gr. 20/box $129.99 (that’s $6.50 each)
And the list goes on. You can hardly afford range time at these prices!
Example: 100 yard sight in: 2 rounds to zero then fire a 3 shot group with your 338 Lapua 5 rounds=$32.50
Good hunting. El Bee
PS 1 POUND OF IMR 4350/$64.99 Plus hazmat, whatever that is? Seriously, there must be some sort of collusion? When I first started hand loading, I was paying $1.75 per pound for Hodgdon’s military surplus 3031, 4895, 4831 etc. Has rifle powder really gone up 40 times higher? Considering a loaf of bread might be 3 times higher and cars are ten times higher.

It's the cost of doing business in this brave new world. I would suggest air rifles but one can go totally over the top with those on the high end, too. They ain't the BB guns of our youth that's for sure.
I guess I'll quit whining about the cost of arrows.

Not only. At least you can usually retreive an arrow. I don’t have much luck digging booklets out of the dirt. Even if I did, they aren’t very serviceable. Except as a souvenir. “Look Ma, this is the boolet I missed that coyote with.”
At least I can remember when men were men….most days, I can.
