Topic: This situation should interest everybody here

We have a 17 year old kid from out of state, chased by those "peaceful protesters". He attempts to extricate himself, trips and falls and they are on him, attempting to take his "assault rifle". In the end, he kills 2 aggressors and wounds another. Knee jerk charges of homicide, but he seems to have some justification of self defense. You have to insert yourself into the situation and to ponder; what would you do? At some point, these Mayors and governors have instructed the police not to enforce the law, so what does a citizen do? Well, you probably don't appoint yourself the guardian of the used car lot, but these BLM types at this point, think they can get away with anything, starting with arson and provoking riot while carrying concealed weapons. That part is completely understandable....but all three people that were shot had felony records.
Anyway, this is very topical and the members here should be interested in the outcome of what happens if you start walking around during PEACEFUL PROTESTS and what can happen as it quickly escalates. What would you do, start to finish and what the hell is happening to our cities? Do you shelter in place or walk the streets? It's crazy time, any way you slice it!

PS very, very interesting that the kid has a highly successful lawyer; and Pro Bono, at that! Especially since they say GoFundMe has removed the kid's accounts.

Been following this one pretty close, it appears all three of the shoots are solid self defence acts. Lots of video of each one are out there so it doesn't take a lot of digging to see his legal justification. If you've never heard of Lin Wood, look him up, this young man has about the best legal defense money can buy, although Wood accepted this one Pro Bono.

Just look at the charges! Yes, I see justification, but then there is the DA in that Wisconsin city that threw the book at this kid. I think there were three or four different charges under the heading of "Homicide" which is legalese for the killing of a human. Or was it murder? Nowhere did I see anything about self defense? So, yeah. We need to discuss the overcharging. If I could add my opinion, I think he might even get a "not guilty" of discharge of a firearm within the city limits. But, you can be sure that whoever was the decider is a friggin' Democrat willing to throw the book at somebody defending themselves. Don't forget, just in the past week or so, the mobs have beat several people senseless, so the kid was justified in fearing for his life.

edit: what I'm saying is that: there are only a handful of states where defending your life with a firearm is OPEN AND SHUT justified homicide. In all the rest, you will spend time in jail and/or prison and spend every cent you have to defend yourself and it's not open and shut; self defense. Yes, it should be, but there are enough Liberals that citizens keep electing, that we do have to talk about it. However, like I already said, I agree with you. It should be; open and closed, case dismissed! LB
edit: we have one bonus in that at least none of the people the kid shot were black! Can you imagine?

I am just glad that I am old enough that life in prison really has no meaning to me, If I feel threatened, you don't ever get to see the sun rise again and maybe I get three meals,laundry, medical and a day to excersice if I want and access to a law library that will keep me entertained filing frivolous law suits against the government that put me there and the people that put me there. OR......I get paroled after a few months and can seek my revenge against the powers that sent me there in the first place. Nothing to lose.

That's the first centerfire rifle I ever fired, an M1. I was 17 when I joined and had only shot rimfires. The first centerfire I bought was a Mauser in 270 Winchester and the rest is history! It was my deer rifle and my coyote rifle and my "target" rifle. Kinda wish I still had it, but eventually out grew it.

Well, seems to me that the permissive attitude, to include Dr Seuss? type of child rearing, Montessori and all that, rather than spare the rod and spoil the child has done much damage; and not that I'm some kind of strict disciplinarian.
The main thing is that we have been inattentive while the "progressives" have molded the minds of our little darlings.
(had to pause because I got so distracted. I cleaned my glasses three fucking times before I got out the damned Loupe and found out there was some kind of coating on the left lens that was not coming off! I tried WD40, which is like a universal solvent and problem cured.)
Now, where was I? Oh, by the way, I was cutting some aloe yesterday, maybe that was it?
We are being too polite with this, everybody has an opinion stuff. It's time to call bullshit! Those Mayors and city councils that want to defund the police should be sent to one of those camps where they get deprogramed. Same with this latest garbage in Washington DC, tear down the Washington Monument because he owned slaves! This is LOONY TUNES STUFF! Besides, I think he set his slaves free, didn't he?
Just by being tolerant and polite and listening to these brainwashed radicals, they are getting more Leftist and Socialist every day! If they think they can follow the mobs that are pulling down statues and using their authority to legitimately have city workers and contractors actually dismantle National Monuments....they have another think coming!
I'm damned tired of this progressive shit! They have their foot wedged in the door and now they think they are in charge with all the commie flaming radical ideas they learned in college, when we thought we were sending them there to learn something useful!
Just look at how asinine this situation looks to the totalitarian governments in Russia and China! Do you think for a minute, that they would put up with what we are putting up with; and in the name of emulating these communist/socialist countries. It's a friggin' joke!
Trump may have some warts but by god, we need somebody like him with a little common sense! If they cheat us out of this election, it's not going to be pretty. If we think it's bad and out of control now, just wait until the radicals get control!
We should be arresting these ANTIFA and BLM thugs on the spot! This is crazy, putting up with burning and looting and telling us it's"insured" so it's just property! NOTHING IS FREE!
