Damn, I don't believe I'd like that deal at all. His wife handling that gun in those close quarters wouldn't be too good an idea either. Where is a good tranquilizer dart when you need it? Wow!

The whole video, I was thinking, he's doing it wrong. The animal is focused on the man who is poking at him in a straight line. I would try a 90˚ approach so the wolf can look at the guy while the loop comes in from the side. Quit pointing the pole at him, of course he is going to bite at it.
Besides that, yeah, the pole is too short and the loop is too small. I've never done it, but I think I could get it done in half the time.

i'll guarentee F(%KING T YOU that was peanuts comapered to what i've had to deal with. they can be nasty critters up close. like shit your pants type scary. i was alone and had a big male and he did not shut up for 20 minutes.he was in my face alot more than he was backing away!!
