Ahhh LB, put that back up. A cease and desist is nothing but a threat. Someone threatening a C&D is a couple steps removed of anything actually happening.

I'm confused; Isn't PM run by Dan's buddy, Froglegs, from up in Canada??? A Canadian court order is valid in the Peoples Republic of Mexifornia???.......... A court order that denies people the right of free speach????
I have never really much cared one way or the other about PM. I hang out here & don't have the time to be active on a bunch of Boards. Seeing this though, I have to wonder, if somebody over there was as quick to threaten legal action against the 'Antis' as they are against fellow hunters, maybe I would still have the right to trap in Az. or hunt lion in Ca. or run bears with dogs in Wa.................

I’m no lawyer and it has been a long time since I read the TOS. As I recall each author is responsible for the accuracy of their posts, and the administrators and moderators cannot verify the accuracy of said posts. Slander is only slander if it is untrue.
As far as the posts directed at PM everyone was just kind of in dismay at the price of the hunt. If the prices posted were accurate they don’t have a leg to stand on. From my perspective anything and everything that could even remotely be considered slanderous was directed at red frog and his outfitter business. So who is paying the lawyer? The origin of the e-mail seems to indicate the wrong pocket is paying the bill. You can not blurr that line between corporations or personal funds.

While I really have no dogs in this one, I find it pretty interesting.
True to my own ways, I have friends in lots of places. I have it on good authority that this e-mail was never sent, and an e-mail sent to the listed e-mail address ( administration@predatormasters.com ) bounces.
This e-mail address doesn't exist.
Not sure who sent it or how they did it, but it smells a lot like some sort of manipulating conspiracy. One that didn't have much preparation for factual evidence from what I can see.
Rocky Raccoon would be disappointed.

Well, it's true that I never responded, but just because you tried it and it was bounced back does not mean the origin is bogus. Got me wondering though....
edit: but, it was returned, just now? I could see them doing such a thing for plausible deniability? Consensus seems to be that nothing is beneath them folks?

Here is a small example of the shit pussgut will send you. I have hundreds of these little threats, some were sent to me and some were sent to others.

Matt MCcauley, aka, "Java" is the new security director at PM.
He's had a couple semesters of law and is their internet law specialist... I'd call it attempting to practise law without a license.
I'm not sure how an email could come from PM.com unless it was from someone on the inside there.

I vote put it back up. There is no way they can get you. Think of all the BS talked on forums of all different venues.....Its rediculous. You know how man anti hunting vs. hunting site lawsuits could be handed out if this were an actualy valid threat(or foxpro vs WT suits ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) ). Its hollow and its handed out in fear. If im wrong then put my name on this suit and see what happens and how much they get lol.

Don't judge us (entirely) on these type of issues, JB. There is a long and storied history involved here, and this is the only place you will read about it. Why, you may ask?
Because we don't edit and delete discussions. Other places, for sake of decorum, will edit and delete entire threads, and ban those that posted them, basically, communist style censorship.
So, in some respects, this is/has become an alternative universe for those who have become disenchanted with the 800 pound gorilla of the online predator hunting community.
