I have come into possession of quite a number of items that were used in the business of loading ammunition. I am contemplating whether or not I should sell it over Ebay or stage an auction\garage sale type of event to try and sell it.
Do I move it back to Texas or do I try to sell it in Arizona(Tuscon area)?
What is the best way to get the most for it?
Here is a sample of the items.....
1. .50 caliber presses 2. 650 Dillon presses 3. Dillon tumblers 4. Dillon priming tool machines 5. Trigger pull machine 6. Bore scope 7. Miscellaneous small tools 8. Loading dies (small and 50 BMG) 9. Chairs 10. Shelves 11. Fans 12. Powder measurers 13. Scales (loading) 14. Chronograph (3) 16. Shooting Rest 17. Show Display 18. Sound proofing material 19. Gun cases 20. Shop rifles 21. Scopes 22. Bullets
This is just a sampling of the inventory list.
Input...I need input.........Thanks for any suggestions you can contribute.

Have you considered taking the stuff to a gun show & selling it there??

There are lots of considerations for trying to move this stuff in a variety of different ways. It probably will be quite varied in the end.I would love to have a magic wand waved and have someone offer me a lump sum for all of it, but that ain't going to happen.
I have thought of gun shows, but that would require renting tables, hauling the stuff in and possibly back out again. How many shows would it take at what cost and amount of time.
I have the room to store it if I move it back to Texas, for however long it takes to sell it. I am not under any time deadline. I do have to be responsible in the courts eyes to get a fair price for it though.
Some of the items may not be allowed for sale on Ebay.
To have to pay for an auctioneer might be expensive.
Some of the items are simply junk and almost worthless. I will also have the discomfort of trying to squeeze top dollar out of a friend who may be looking for a "sweet" deal.
I have lost over $200,000 in my association with Arizona Ammuntion Inc and want to get as much for this stuff as I can. I am a realist though when it comes to understanding that most of what was bought and used in the company was used to begin with. Some items were bought as new, but not much.
Many of the most expensive inventory items were sold before I got the keys to the storage lockers. Most of this stuff is not worth very much, so being frugal in my effort to sell is important to me.
Tim, I will not know what all is available until I can get my hands on it. I know there were 23 scopes in the list of which 4 were Lightforce scopes. I don't have a hope in hell those are in there. The rifles are a Savage and a Remington. I do not even know the caliber. You would simply be shocked at how much my former business partner could not remember in this whole process. If a doctor had sat in on his recent deposition, he probably would have diagnosed Altzheimer's.

Good deal, Gerald. Glad to see something happening for you on this issue.
A bore scope in working condition? I might like to have that, myself, but I probably can't afford to pay as much as Catskin?
You need a local Arizona agent like *** to handle things for you.
Good hunting. LB

Gun Broker.com is a good place to go if you don't mind the time you will have to invest in e-mail replys, packeging all the items you sell(you have a very long list of items)and so forth. The only things that would be the hardest to ship will be the firearms,as you probably know they must ship via FFL dealer. I know that when I start to look for anything I always start at gunbroker.Good luck. By the way,I'm in the Phoenix area so if I can help in anyway please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks Fuzzy. The only business I will have in Phoenix is with the Outdoorsman. They are holding two rifles I need to get. [ December 21, 2005, 07:03 AM: Message edited by: Gerald Stewart ]

Auction it at a NRA event and donate all the money to some local charity and ride the tax benefit. That would show the courts your in for the principle of the matter and not so much for the money. But then there is the money issue? Well Good Luck

Sorry Bomba, that is one of the corporate items that was known to be in the company that did not show up on the inventory list submitted to the courts. [ December 21, 2005, 04:32 PM: Message edited by: Gerald Stewart ]

Gerald, I don't really know anyone to contact, but several of the major re-made and reloaded ammo companies are in my area, sort of. Cor-Bon is in Sturgis S.D. Superior Ammunition is also in Sturgis Ultra Max is in Rapid City Black Hills Ammo is in Rapid also.
That would be some to try. I could look up numbers and e-mail them to you if you'd like. [ December 21, 2005, 09:44 PM: Message edited by: Cal Taylor ]
