(an excerpt) Right now, when the federal government finds out that a sale that should have been stopped has proceeded because of the time limit, it does — this part will not surprise you! — absolutely nothing. Somewhere in some subbasement somewhere in the bowels of Washington, some bureaucrat mutters to himself, “Well, that’s unfortunate.” And then nothing else happens.
These are sales for which people have filed the requisite paperwork at a licensed firearms dealer. That means that we not only have the name, address, Social Security number, and other information about the buyer, we also have the make, model, and serial number of the firearm that changed hands. All it would take would be for someone to go and get the gun.
You don’t need Batman to fight that crime — you need a guy with a car and a shoebox.
Sending somebody out to pick up those guns would be a real improvement for several reasons: For one, we’d be taking a gun out of the hand of a prohibited person, which is good in and of itself. Second, in almost every case, a prohibited person who buys from a licensed retailer does so by lying on his application — as Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, pretty obviously did when acquiring a handgun a few years ago. (Hunter Biden is a prohibited person because he is a drug addict, and if he had not lied about that fact on his application, then it would have been rejected.) That means that we not only have the opportunity to take the gun away, we also have the opportunity to arrest the offender for a serious gun crime. Often, there will be at least two charges that could be made: felon in possession (which by itself can bring as much as ten years in prison) and making a false statement to acquire a firearm — a fifth-degree federal felony.

I hope most of you understand this "Lingo" bullshit? Starting with "Assault Weapon".
They have been getting away with that label for at least 30 years. There is no question that semi automatic AR15's are exactly like a Remington Model 760 or 742, I forget which is pump and which is semi auto? The difference is cosmetic, the scary black configuration, the handle, maybe a flash hider or some non operative feature. The Remington, or a Winchester Model 100 has a conventional wood stock but lacks the long magazine sticking out below and the obvious features that make an AR15 look VERY MILITARY!
For Liberals, that's all you need. They don't know and don't want to know anything besides "blows the head off" or "300 bullets" and can't be bothered by actual definitions. And these are the people that will be writing the fucking rules?
Okay, that's one thing but they also own the "Jingoistic" RED FLAG LAW! Damned if that doesn't sound motivational! It really sounds like it would be helpful but this is what happens when you have Liberals writing fucking laws!
There is no constitutional protections in the way Red Flag Laws are written and enforced! If somebody, a relative, a neighbor, law enforcement or maybe a judge makes an evaluation and this sets the wheels in motion to confiscate any weapon but likely a firearm. No formal hearing, no chance for rebuttal, no protections at all!
If you are a known NRA member and your neighbor is an anti gun activist, they can complain that you are a danger or a threat and the police are always eager to help when it comes to seizing just about anything. So you are stripped of your means of self defense without a trial , just a complaint is enough. Then, you have to prove a negative in order to recover your legal property. This is something that has never been operative in any form, any where in this country but they seem to get away with it as an emergency measure, for your own good as well as the public welfare.
This is not how our system works, never has been, but it's a firearm and it's knee jerk reactionary and better safe than sorry and who cares about RIGHTS when it's a scary trigger element like a GUN! WE MUST DO SOMETHING, FOR (HIS) OWN GOOD! Take it away and let the poor owner have the burden of proving that he deserves to have possession of his legal property. When you let zealots write laws, you get Draconian Stuff that ignores personal rights. But it sure sounds like it's doing something to protect society.

Sure raise the age to by an AR-15 to 21. Then let a 5 year old choose their gender. Sounds like another bright democRAT idea.

You know, what irks me is that after two fucking years of this COVID BULLSHIT, Biden and everyone else has completely forgotten about CHINA! They caused it and clammed up and nobody has put any pressure on those bastards to admit what they did!
Nobody seems to care, (what?) a million people died of COVID and everybody is too fucking timid to ask serious questions of the Chinese. It's just about completely blown over, ancient history, nobody cares! SHAMEFUL!
