Thought I'd show a few of the fancy ones I make... if they don't sound as good as they look I'd/I'll buy 'em back! I bought some fancy stabilized Walnut burl about a year ago.. couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it until I saw a few pieces of Ivory at a knife shop in Gatlinburg TN.. Married this piece of pre ban elephant Ivory to it..
Barrel is stabilized Walnut burl with an elephant Ivory bead... the toneboard is an o-ring fitted hippo ivory
He also had an ancient walrus tusk.. I made this Red Mallee burl barrel, with a Walrus Ivory bead and Hippo Ivory toneboard.
This one is a Hippo Ivory barrel, and a Hippo Ivory toneboard.
with a 60 watt light bulb behind it...
I also use antler and Buffalo horn for the beads and toneboards (price is much less too) Koa and buffalo horn: [IMG]http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg80/Yotehntr_album/8-7-11-025.jpg
