Called in 3 female coyotes with rabbit distress prior to opening of deer season. pretty basic.

Went out last night after deer season ended and got one nice male. Started with the old rabbit just to see if things changed. yep no takers. moved down road just little bit or basically just moved my stand location and then started with just some howls and here he comes.
I was set up with some big round haybales for a backing and gave tops of the bales some Juice and then put little downwind as well.
Coyote came in downwind and locked onto the Juice and got about 100 yards out. At this point coyote didn't know what to do so I decided to tell him to lay down and stay which he did after the Ackley spoke to him. LOL
Prior to hunt I had gun taken in for the mod.s i mentioned earlier and took the thermal off. I put it back on the gun and just went calling, didn't bother to recheck zero. well, let's just say it's still on target.
Got some nice fresh snow about 1/2 inch to make ground little white and was beautiful night to be out and noticed the deer where out moving about as well. The snow fell during the day with a light wind out of n-w and I didn't bother to look up weather I should be out or not, don't really matter long as wind don't blow.

What if I told you, the left wing and right wing both belong to same bird!

I've got a 'Song Of The Humpbacked Whale' tape that I'm going to program into my FoxPro.
It may or may not call in any coyotes but if anybody's camped within a couple of miles it should REALLY freak them out. [Big Grin]

ko ko, don't worry. I'm positive that sound will call coyotes. If a squeaky brake drum can do it, a Humpback whale will do it also.

Good hunting. El Bee

Getting back to this conversation, I have mentioned before that I brought back from Africa, a CD with native animal sounds. One of them, damned if I can remember the name? But I even killed one, one night. Brightest eyes I’ve ever seen, brighter than a lion! It’s a strictly nocturnal animal. Looks like a Teddy bear, or a Chinchilla, only bigger, huge eyes! Smaller than a raccoon but bigger than a muskrat.

Anyway, that is the most radical distress sound ON THE FUCKING PLANET! Swear to god!

Good hunting. El Bee

PS do not let anybody tell you that Africa is tropical. It was freezing, the night I killed that weird critter.
