Our planet is entering an ice age and the climate is about to get a lot colder. Earth has been freezing and heating on a regular cycle for about two million years. The last four cycles of glaciation have had a regular cycle with 10,000 years of warming and 112,000 of freezing. The last interglacial warm period lasted for 10,000 years and was followed by 112,000 years of ice age. We entered an interglacial 10,000 years ago and have been warming ever since. We are now at the end of our 10,000 year interglacial and we are entering an ice age. It is about to get very cold and stay that way for the next 112,000 years.

Reinforces my thinking on living in Arizona. Will consider purchasing stock in long john companies. Might even check out wool blanket factories, sheep farms, garsh, the list goes on. Thanks for the info.

I am really amazed that the idea of global warming has gotten so much traction based on a hundred or so years of shaky data.
Here is a graph that shows what has happened in the near past 400,000 years. The graph shows that the change from warm period to cold period happens quickly. This graph shows another interesting thing. Both CO2 and water vapor levels go way down during glacial periods.
The blue curve shows the periods of warm and cold. The short upward spikes are the warm interglacials between the long ice ages. At the left of the graph is our warm period. If you compare that to the other interglacials it is clear we are at the end of this warm period.
The "science" of global warming is based on data from the last hundred years, less than a pixel width at the left side of the blue curve.

If you think that global warming is a reality, take a look out of my front window. We are supposed to end up with around 18 inches! Of course, I know that Rich is a big Al Gore fan and I wouldn't say anything against big Al so as to upset Rich. I just hope that Rich has plenty of gas on hand for his snowblower cause I think that he is going to need it. Merry Christmas to all and a happy New Year.

Jimmy Carter won one of those things, or he found it in a box of CrackerJacks. When I think of recent lame Presidents, they are all Democrats but this current dickweed takes the cake, the booby prize, or the Nobel. Can't leave out Big Al, he would be included, if he wasn't ROBBED! So, he gets honorable mention; Vice Presidential Boobie.

And, the thing about Al is he's such a good, sincere liar. The thing about Jimmy Carter, besides being retarded is he is such a good liar.

That's the thing about Barry. He is the best, doesn't even get embarrased when none of his campaign promises are fulfilled; "hey, I was just joking". He's a cool customer, Big Al gets flustered when called on his lies, but not Arrogant & conceited Barry Obama. He really thinks he is the Chosen One.

I'm gagging, I need to stop. LB

This article explains why CO2 has not increased in our atmosphere due to humans:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/12/091230184221.htm

I was surprised a couple weeks ago when I saw Al Gore on TV say "DO you know? just a couple miles down its millions of degrees". I thought he was talking about the Earth where the temperature is hundreds and hundreds of degrees that deep.

At this point; does anybody seriously believe any of the global warming bullshit? I think they have lost their steam in the arguement, and no one that I know, really gives a shit about the subject anymore?

Never underestimate a committed "environmentalist".

First, they have to be indoctrinated in Socialism by our wonderful educational system, otherwise they would be content to let everybody do their own thing.

You would be stupid to think that these control freaks will just let the issue drop. Are you just going to let all those polar bears die?

They have all these noble causes, too! Makes it worth getting up in the morning, if it means they can CONTROL other people.

Their morning prayer:

THIS IS URGENT! CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL! AND, IT'S MAN'S FAULT.....(I'm happy to say)

edit: for instance, they think they can get away with a statement like, "the ice cap is melting and the polar bears are going to die as a result". Do you really think a polar bears would have a harder time catching seals that were sleeping on dry ground, just like them, no ice flows to siesta on? Umm? I think this would uncomplicate the hunting...and they would addapt. That, by the way is a word "environmentalists" don't understand, unless they are talking about EVOLUTION, of course!

Good hunting. LB

edit: face it, they are idiots! Our tax dollars are indoctrinating our children and turning them into enviro zelots. Spend an hour considering "renewable energy" intentionally excluding Nuclear and see how many good plans that you come up with.
