Does anyone know where I can actually read on the web what the night hunting regulations are for Nevada? I have done a number of searches and have been unable to find which counties allow it and which don't.
Thanks,
Butch

Sorry, I don't know, for sure. I believe White Pine, Lincoln, Eureka, and Elko? Basically, the whole east side, but don't take my word for it. And, from what I've seen, it seems to be ignored by Utah hunters, as long as you're just hunting coyotes.

Calling F&G will get you semi-accurate information, and most likely, some guesses.

By the way, I believe you can hunt coyotes and badgers without a non-resident license, as long as you have a license in your home state. I think you need a non-resident license for grays, and non-residents cannot take bobcat, but I think you can buy a lion tag?

Best course of action is to request Nevada Big Game and small game Regulations, and see for yourself.

Good luck, LB

Butch, in all the years I've been hunting in Nevada, I have never got a stright answer about night hunting regulations. I'd have to say Leonard is about as close to the rules as anyone else is.

To be honest, I don't think they really care if you hunt coyotes at night anywhere in the state. They charge you guys an extra 3 dollers on your hunting lic to kill predators, so why would they care how you kill them.

I just got back from three days in Nevada, called in some coyotes but didn't want to shoot any. Hunted the alfalfa fields around Elko, Ely and Eureka. All I can say is them helicopters and planes didn't get em all lol.
