I suppose I’m doing better, the improvement is glacial. One think is that my appetite has improved. And, although I can’t prove it, I think I’ve put on a few pounds.

Many of my cuts and bruises have started to heal, some have healed. My skin is so paper thin that whole sections can be peeled off if I bump something just right.

I haven’t actually fallen on several weeks. Almost, a couple times, but caught myself, so I didn’t actually fall all the way to the ground. A lot less blood lately. Bruises, yes. I get bruises very easily. Dogs have a habit of stepping on my feet, and since i still have puffy insteps, it hurts when I’m stepped on, like with claws!

II’m sleeping pretty good, when I actually fall asleep. I take a sleeping pill called buspar and another over the counter called Melitonin. They don’t work very well. But, once I doze off I sleep at least 6-7 hours.

That’s about it. The lungs are damaged and boy, is that a slow process! About the only way to gauge progress is maybe a little less pain? Pain is present with a deep breath; followed by a cough. So, I avoid deep breaths when I can. Who needs pain, when it can be avoided?

I'm glad to hear there's some improvement. Slow but steady.

Yes, the operative word is S-L-O-W!

I ate my first meal at the table, today. Until now, I have been eating from a side board beside my recliner, which is mostly OK, I’m just saying that because I wanted to put my own Burger together, not what somebody else made for me. It was grilled cheeseburgers and I want my condiments the way I like it. Excellent, really hit the spot.

My nebulizer quit on me today, I guess itt overheated? Now ir’s working, but who knows when it will quit again?

Let’’s see, what else? My bloodpressure was 105/59 today. it’s been consistently 100-102-etc. for a week. before that, it was in the 90’s. I am doing my best to drink liquids, all kinds.

I keep getting in trouble for feeding to dogs. They have some screwy rule, no table scraps. Well, it may be their dogs, but it’s my house. So I sneak a treat now and then, half the time, the dogs rat me out. I don’t give a shit, I sneak them something if I can get away with it.

There is a hierarchy at work, they are related, mother and daughter, etc. Grace is the oldest by quite a bit, at 12, the youngest is Lady, 6 years. And Lady is spitting image, carbon copy of my poor Tillie who passed away in May. Actually the were sisters, same mother and father, but Lady is a year younger from Magnolia’s last. litter. So, I don’t know what you all it, same mother and father but Lady is a year younger. Doesn’t matter, she is marked exactly like a Bluetick, even the arrowhead on the top of her head. and half of her tail is white.

Before you ask, the sire died about 2 years ago, of heartworm. They couldn’t do anything for him. Vet wanted to put him down but they took him home where he died surrounded by his family. The next day.

LB you need to get some Calmoseptine for your bed sore.
I developed one internal and this stuff healed it. Just took a couple of months. It's designed for bedsores.

Good to hear a slow recovery is happening.

WOW, Thanks, I will look into it. All I can say is that mine isn’t getting any worse. I am treating it with Neosporin and a bandaid.it’s off center on the right but towards the interior, and not a good place for a bandaid which is more uncomfortable than the bed sore.

I looked it up then had the local pharmacy order it in..
They had it the next day. At first it burned like crazy put it on every night after the shower. Don't know what it is made of but it doesn't wear off and can barely wash it off. A little goes a long ways.

I have two unopened tubes. One is about 4 inches long, says it contains 20 g net. The other one, I can’t find right now, but it’s the size of a standard tube of toothpaste, only fatter. If I ever have a need for that much ointment, I would probably be a 100% burn victim. But it’s a comfort to know that I have it….somewhere?

"I have it ........... somewhere."
[Big Grin]
That's the story of my life ..... I know I got one but don't know where it's at. [Confused]

To the point that sometimes it's easier to just go buy another one than look for the one I have.

Very annoying !!!!
