Went to see my doctor today. Did not want to go, it is quite a chore. I can’t even explain it, but Just driving is a pain, then waiting with the engine running while they locate a wheelchair to bring out.
So, he wants me to see a cardiologist and somebody from the pulmonary dept, which makes sense. But that’s another appointment down in Ontario.Another ordeal I could do without.
So, I kinda lost it, started bawling like I had a broken heart, so everybody tried to comfort me. I don’t know why, but that was the second time, before noon! I started crying about the anniversary of 911 on Fox. My son watches nothing but FOX. and some other shit.
Then, to cap it off, my homeowners policy lapsed! I’m trying to figure out what went wrong? Looks like my daughter missed a payment and she’s like mortified.
Then, to cap it all off, Man, I really fell good! right on top of my walker. Laying there, all tangled up in it, really hurt my back and I have cuts and bruises all over fingers, left arm. middle finger of my right hand, right wrist. Left forearm, big cut on the back of my left hand. I can’t see my back, where I straddled the leg of the walker right in the middle of my back but I think it’s just bruises. But it’s sore as hell, neverthe less. It was my worst crash, so far. At least my new $500 glasses weren’t damaged. I’ve only had them 2 days.
So. I was duly admonished for not making the Cardiologist appt. I thought it was a waste of time, because these things are not easy! He, (primary dr) said he needs cardioligest involved because the ECHO cardiogram was kind of borderline. So it’s my fault. I didn’t think it was worth all the effort, and believe me, every fucking office visit is a major inconvenience, start to finish. So, he impressed on me that it is necessary, as is the pulmanary appt.
That’s about it other than an excellent bowel movement early afternoon and I changes pajamas because of all the blood. Amigos, this is quite a cross to bear. I’m not sugarcoating it. He tried to boost my spirits by mentioning that I gained a pound and the leg swelling has gone down a little, and my bloodpressure is slightly improved, still low. I’m really forcing myself to drink liquids. It’s still low, but slightly improved, usually below 120.
That’sabout all the good news I can think of. Wish it was a little more encouraging. He thinks I will get out of the woods, but what else is he going to say?

I will work on it, ko ko. BUT, yes, it can get overwhelming.
I’m trying to get the help on the same wavelength, about food and drink. I’m getting what they like. Not fussy, but might as well, give me stuff that will perk my appitite. I’m not hard to please. But there are drinks and snacks and meals that appeal to me more than their chicken fingers. Not once have they offered my a glass of orange juice! Why is that? Because Corey told them it was too acidity. Well fuck that! I want some orange juice!
Don’t get me wrong. We are getting along wonderfully! Both son and daughter in law have made great effort to keep me going and I appreciate it. I’m just saying that they tend to feed me their stuff, and I’m not really getting what I enjoy and prefer. Like this morning, Page said she’s out of pancake mix. Well, I happen to know that I have pancake mix in a cubbard in the garage. But then I said; you know what? I would like some french toast! Any it is being prepared as we are typing this. Glad I thought of it!
We will get on the same wave lengths soon. I’m sure. But, all in all, I can’t complain. I really can’t. They are doing magnificently.

Edit: You know, people treat their dogs different. These people give their animals a Milk Bone once a day, for each. I have always given my dogs scraps. Tillie loved to finish my cereal bowl, and would lick every speck of spaghetti off of my plate. One thing I learned having cats is that they love spaghetti! Does not seem logical, but every cat I ever owned loved it. Dogs, of course love it too.
But they feed no scraps, at all. My dogs loved the variety. They would eat half a bean and cheese burrito, and love it. I personally, see no harm, but these people are hard core: no snacks! PERIOD!
So, I snuck a couple squares of french toast to Grace while they weren’t looking. But, suspicious as they are, in spite of my denials, they accused me of feeding Grace! I didn’t think I looked guilty? But Grace gave it away and I was busted! I don’t care, I’m going to sneak a treat whenever I can get away with it. Fuck ‘em!😎
