I hesitate to claim progress when I am this sick but every little gain is a victory. Like I just asked Page to quit giving me cough syrup and next day I asked for some. Sounds like I don’t know what’s going on-and maybe I don’t? I’m taking less pain medication in the form of NORCO.
Always have been very cautious of narcotics, I always take a half a pill. And with the morphine, I always skip the mid day pill. In 30 days, I might take a noon pill twice. Therefore, I don’t bother to reorder for 45 days instead of 30. I’m the same way about sleeping pills. I take them reluctantly. It’s like taking poison, to me. Mind altering drugs scare the hell out of me!
However, I have such anxiety about the whole thing that I am taking a 5mg dose of buspar, I think that’s what it is called? My feet are kind of puffy, dr said I should take 2 lasix every day. So far, looks like the swelling is down a little bit. Everything is incremental, no big victories.
Last night, I woke up at 2am and played with my tablet for over an hour then was able to get back to sleep without an trouble, which is a big deal, all by it self because normally I have such a hard time conking out.
Still not much appitite. I managed to suck down an Ensure and three Clementine oranges. We had Chinese a couple nights ago. I love the noodles and beef with vegetables. I ate my share for a change. We are fortunate to have a pretty good Chinese restaurant just a few blocks away in the shopping center. It’s as good as you will find anywhere but the decor is bare bones kitchen tables and chairs. But it;s good food and lots of it!
I’m a big fan of Chinese food. Yeah, they are stingy with the soy sauce, like all Chinese restaurants, that’s just who they are; but at least we get a fortune cookie.
I guess we are lucky to have a good PIZZA restaurant close by. Check out the price of pizza’s lately! Even Little Caesar’s charges $7 now for their $5 pizza. For me, A combo pizza is ok but I am quite satisfied with pepperoni pizza. And, Costco has a very good pepperoni pizza. I think the one on Foothill is called Marco’s. Everybody wants all the stuff on it so I don’t care but if it were me, I’ll take a good peppperoni pizza any day.
I cancel a lot of apprimtments. Just don’t feel well enough.And I’m not going if I’m not up to it. MOSTof the time, I’m not up to it and I cancel. Fuck ‘em!
