I was released yesterday afternoon, about 2ish. They gave mr a walker and a toilet and some stuff that they gave to aaron, some tubes to fill the nebulizer and other stuff from the pharmacy.

so I right away took a nap in my recliner. then another nap in my recliner and i woke up , it was 1:45 am. Aaron was sleeping on a couch but he had covered me with the white cotton blanket we stole. Something I did woke him up and we have relocated from the living room to my bedroom and on the way, i managed a dump, which was very welcome, believe me! I managed one bowel movement yesterday morning, and that was 4 days worth!

I found a decent pair of glasses. You know my regular pair was on my face and it got broke when I fell on my face. I suppose that could have been interesting if parts imbedded in my face. but, I still have not looked at my face. I’m told the swelling has gone down quite a bit ut apparently I have two black eyes and my forehead is very tender, meaning it hurts like hell if I touch it, anywhere on my forehead. NOT FUNNY!

I’m alone and Aaron his gone upstairs. I dont know what room he picked, most likely the one with the queen bed, unless Corey didn’t change the sheets when he left two weeks ago?

And by the way, Corey is coming back down in 2 or 3 days because Aaron has to fly back home. I guess Corey will stay until my son gets here. He is supposed to be here either around the 20th or i also heard the 25th, so who knows?

I was strongly advised to go to a nursing home for 2 weeks rehab. everybody knows that I’m against it so they gave me a couple days here to see how i get along, then decide. Apparently I can get up to 3 weeks coverage? My daughter said it’s a co ed facility and they have ladies, might perk my interest? Not right now but they said i san think about it for a. couple days gen decide if i’m not managing.

Doubtful?

Wow no response(s)?

I spent a restful night. And slept most of the morning in my chair. Aaron went out for bagels and donuts, it’s time for breakfast and I’m hungry for junk food after all of that safe hospital food. I haven’t decided on the rest home option but I seem to be managing ok.
That’s about it from The People’s Republik.

The rest home option, unpleasant as the thought might be, would possibly give your family a breather for a bit until you get your strength back.

Tough decisions to make.

Just got back home and low and behold you survived.
Got to be quit an ordeal. And by the sounds of it you walloped your face pretty damn good.
That nursing home thing does sound pretty reasonable and would give your family maybe a little peace of mind and you would be right next to care should something go awry. Hang in there Leonard your gonna beat this thing yet.You are managing but what how are Tillie(sp) and Pinky handling it?

Walt ........... Earlier this year, Tillie got into some toxic plant run-off and sadly passed away despite all efforts to save her.

As usual I am a day late and a dollar short. And I sure do not want to bring up sad memories. I have enough of my own. Anyways, hang in there Leonard you'll beat this yet.

The rest home option sounds reasonable given the situation. It would give you some time to see if improvements are possible and give your family some rest and peace of mind knowing you are being looked after. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Hang in there.
