Just saw where Washington State just passed a 9+ % tax on millionaires. When does Commifornia pass the same OR BETTER tax to encourage others with a little money to leave the state. I am sure there are a few southern states that would welcome millionaire type people in to invest in their states.
Better clear out your bank account Leonard and get a creative book keeper to help you out LOL I know you will be next on the hit list of ways to get free money. What a large group of complete idiots that Demonrat /Communist/Marxist party is. Anti USA and anti capitalism. TOTAL ASSCLOWNS!!!

Having lived in that liberal, Gawd forsaken corner of Hell that's too wet to burn, this doesn't surprise me in the least.
Texas & Florida must be sending emails back & forth; WE'RE GONNA NEED BIGGER WELCOME MATS !!!
The next thing to watch, since a new tax never goes away, is how they define 'a millionaire'.
If you have a million in assets ........
If your combined incomes (husband & wife) equals one million.......
If you've made $250,000 a year for the last four years ......
If you've made $100,000 a year for the last ten years .......
You get the idea. Tax to a Democrat is like heroin to an addict. Gotta have it / Gotta have more of it.

I can never remember the guy's name, but after the American Revaluation, a Frenchman came over to study our new Government, which at the time was unprecedented. His conclusion was that 'it will work until such time as the takers outnumber the producers'. We may not have arrived there yet but the train's definitely pulling into that station.

Edit to add; Quote attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville.

So….we are all millionaires for purposes of this discussion. I remember when I was in the 4th grade, in some book, (maybe?) that if you were throwing 20 dollar bills down a mine shaft one at a time, you would die of old age before getting to a million. It doesn’t ring true, in this age where Bidoes or Musk can amass fortunes beyond one hundred billion dollars. That’s a lot of twenty dollar bills! A normal person can’t even wrap their mind around a figure like that! And. I suspect that there are a few Arabs that have more than that, or count wealth in number of Lamborghini’s in his garage. And his country has less than a hundred miles of paved roads. I’ve said it before; we should charge these guys $10,000 per loaf of bread. Same amount for a sip of water. Hard to put these numbers in perspective.

Just to be clear, noting the title of the thread. There is nothing to like about the state of Washington! Nothing! I wish I could think of something positive to say about that sorry fucking state, but nothing comes to mind. Should someone have a positive thought about Washington, please tell us. I hate to sound so negative but it is what it is! Go ahead, if something comes to mind, I’d like to hear about it. OK the jury is in and nobody has a kind word in behalf of Washington….the state. Sorry.

Ok just hold on there one second before you vote.
In the winter I use to drive truck off and one for a friend. I would go to East coast and pick up load of Grapes and take them to Calgary Canada and then head south down into Washington state and pick up a load of those big golden delicious apples. Most everyone has some of them sitting around on table at Holiday time. When I did my load pick up I would go in office there and buy a case of them for myself to take back home. So there, Washington is good for something.

One thing that really got my attention was a guy eating out of a dumpster behind the truck stop. That was first time i ever seen anything like that in real life and now what I remember most about Washington besides the apples.
I would leave Washington and head back to east coast which was another disappointment. Young black kids at every truck stop dealing drugs and who knows what else then catching a ride from a truck driver to next truck stop to make more sales. Around New York and Boston in housing areas all back yards full of worn-out crap they removed from the house, freezers, stoves, mattresses and what have you. big eye sore. The roads were narrow and in bad shape as well. I thought it would suck to live out there. Then back home trip and countryside was pretty nice till you got close to Chicago then the same trashy yards and more drug dealing kids and even saw few pimp cars. LOL
I got back home finally and thanked God for what we have here.
Been to AZ many times and all I can say is wear high-top boots and stay in dam car and also know how many Gallons your gas tank holds as you have to pre-pay at dam pumps.. LOL

And one more thing about AZ if the residents of that state are Americans then get rid of that dam Mexican food its un-American..

Ok ........ Totally unbiased opinion about 'That place'.

Blackberries; They have something like three different varieties that grow wild along the gated two tracks during archery deer season. Still hunt along and nibble on the berries. Kinda nice 'cause even if it's not raining, you're still soaked from the waist down walking thru wet ferns.

Chantelle mushrooms; Easy to identify but not as good as Morels.

The Gun Shows at the Puyallup County Fairgrounds. They fill three Ag Buildings with vendors. Takes the better part of a day to go thru it all. A little bit of everything to be found there.

That's all I got .......... Where's Krusty ???
[Confused]

Now then; Mexican food is unAmerican ??? [Eek!]
Then so is Chinese food & Italian food. Get rid of all of those and all you're left with is that bland crap that passes for food in Mini-Soda.
Borrr-rrring. Live a little; Mix some diced Jalapenos into your breakfast omelet & start the day off right. [Cool]

You are right about the blackberries. They grow wild just about everywhere along the I-5 corridor. One thin I noticed, driving at night. You get no help at all, at an off-ramp, directing you to a gas station or convenience store. Turn in a likely direction and you could be 20 miles with nothing you were looking for.

The thing is that in CA or AZ you can see a gas station from 5 miles away, as you decide what to do. Not up in those friggin’ trees! You have to know where you are going. Of course the locals seem to hate everybody. Do not expect a smile or any sort of happy face. Stray in the fast lane for what they think is too long and they might force you off the road, with lots of rude gestures! I don’t get it, fucking mean disgruntled people must have a bad tooth ache or they just lost their job 20 minutes ago. It’s kill or be killed and you better not look sideways at any local or that psycho might take out his frustrations on you the weary innocent traveler who doesn’t know the lay of the land and they ain’t about to set y’all straight ….politely. It’s frickin’ unbelievable; and do not attempt to pump your own gas in Oregon! That could get you shot dead. If you can avoid the Pacific northwest, you are better off for it. And if you got CA plates, they ‘d just as soon shoot you as answer a civil question.

It’s got to be something in the water? And you know they all spend time under their sunshine lamps to get them out of their ugly mood. It doesn’t work, but they all just love how GREEN EVERYTHING IS! Meanwhile, they never see any actual sunshine. 180/200 days of precipitation, in a row, with a week and a half of summer in mid July, then it’s overcast and drizzly for the next 8 months. But, it’s beautiful and it’s so GREEN!

If you can possibly avoid it, DON’T GO THERE!

They have an actual medical condition up there called 'SAD'. (I can't make this shit up) Seasonally Affected Disorder; It's from not seeing sunshine & blue sky for months on end.
If you were to take every snarky comment that I've ever made about Mini-Soda (Usually in jest) and multiply it by 10 the answer would be Western Washington.
When we get a Monsoon down here, we get the big 'anvil thunderboomers', it rains, the Gods show off with awesome lightening storm displays, then it blows thru, the sun comes out and the desert smells good.
Up there, you get these really low hanging clouds that just rain. Then drizzle. Then mist. Then rain again. This can go on for weeks without stopping.
In the winter you're blessed with Black Ice. We're talking driving 10 mph in 4 wheel drive, IN TOWN !!!
.......... and yeah, they hate Californians.

For the record; I met some decent salt of the earth folks in Eastern Ore. around Fields. It's anything on the I-5 corridor that's to be avoided.

Well yes! The coastal culture is the problem, it’s learned and it’s evil. I think maybe the extreme eastern Oregon beyond the Cascades, people are sorta normal. It’s kinda like interior California, we are normal people, different from the coastal types-Liberals to the core. Bless their misguided little brains!

Anyway, I just watched A Liz Wheeler episode mainly concerning the inexplicit Biden policy of allowing all the Jihadists into America, regardless of how much they hate us. Never try to figure out Liberal motivation, it’s unexplainable? So, if you like, check it out here.
Never mind, I lost it
huh?

Ok .......... This is actually pretty simple;
There are three things that matter in today's world.
Sex
Money
and Power.
Master any one of the three and the other two are handed to you.
Of the three, though, power is what matters the most.
The Democrats have tasted it and will do ANYTHING to keep it.
Let in a few million 'migrants' ?? ....... call it compassion, but get them registered.
They contribute nothing to society ?? ..... Tax the rich to pay for them, but get their vote.
Common sense disagrees ?? .... Call them racist or whatever the latest buzzword is, but keep telling the lie.

Call a spade a spade. In my opinion, then reason for the open borders is they count heads like a cattle drive. Democrats gain congressmen simply by counting all these illegal aliens, They don’t have to be categorized at all. they are just numbers and whatever is the number, they get to add another congressperson based on counting heads of immigrants. We don’t need to catagorize them by party, just know that they need free stuff and Democrats are well known for promising free stuff.

So, it’s a win win situation. The more refuges in the country, they count them as needing representation. Whatever the number is, let’s say it’s every 100,000 people they get another congressman. So, all of these wild eyed radicals have value because they get a congressman and Democrats believe that is power. If the counters are correct, that Asshole Biden opened the door and over 15 million immigrants walked across the southern border; well they are required by statute to a new congressman

Humm, 15 million divided by 100,000 is 150 congressmen, so that doesn’t sound right. But I took a random number one congressman per every 459,000 people, not citizens is 33 and change.

Next census that seems like a valid working number, an additional 33 Democrat congresspersons. That’s a very sobering number of radical Liberal Democrat Congresspersons, like AOC, who is a force to be reckoned with.

Think about it, show me where I’m wrong.

AND BY THE WAY, I HAVE NEVER LIKED THE STATE OF WASHINGTON!

Another thing, Oregon, Oregon State, Univ of Washington, Washington State. At least their whole basketball and football programs consist of Southern California Boys and Girls. Baseball too. The homegrown geeks can’t make the squad!

They would stay in California but the free ride up north makes up their minds. For that matter, could say the same about the Athletic programs of AZ, NM and Nevada, as well. It’s nobody’s fault, it’s just that the California schools produce a lot of good athletes….and they go where the money is. Face it Wash and Oregon buy competitive teams. Where do they get them? That’s simple, The People’s Republik!

Yes indeed Washington is a wet and gloomy place west of the Cascades. I lived right next to the Columbia River when I did live there and we called that rainy stuff Oregon missed,, missed Oregon and hit Washington.
Graduated from Mark Morris in Longview. Only good thing I can say is I met my wife there. I really didn't like that school. After going to school in Lompoc with all that government money and being in Santa Barbara county. a very rich county. Washington and that crappy high school I ended up at was years behind and was like stepping back in time.
Moving to Lake Taco on the Commy, Nevada border was the best thing I did with my wife and child.I could deal with snow but was sooo glad to get out of drizzle, dampness and rain week in and week out. It was depressing living on the wet side. I spent time over in Yakima and it wasn't bad and had decent hunting near enough. And not wet.
Never regretted moving to Nevada and for a guy that loved calling coyotes it was like the best place on earth for me. Yep Washington State really does suck.

I have a nephew he worked for Yellowstone Park and then moved up to Washington or Idaho border some place up there. He now works for DNR. He said on last visit yes, they are different over there.
He said the trout fishing is really good wherever he is at.

Bear in mind;
There's Western Washington ......... Known as 'The WET Side'.
And
Eastern Washington ....... Known as Western Idaho.
Two entirely different worlds.
Pretty much the same type of thing in Oregon.
Sorta the same NorCal / SoCal deal.

THATS WHAT I’VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU!

I dropped in,
I saw that,
I forgot what I was doing,
I went back, got distracted & have no idea what's going on,
Is this my house ??
I have to pee.

In other news;
I see that Mt. St. Helens is showing signs of rumblings again.
What you don't hear much about anymore is that after the the big eruption back in the 80s all of the 'scientists' assured us that the extensive blast zone would be a moon-scape for a 100 years.
BUT !!! ....... In the words of the Prophet Gomer, "Surprise, surprise, surprise" It took about two years & stuff started growing in the ash & and about five years for elk to move in.
I'm sure that this is the ONLY time that the egg-heads have ever been wrong about anything climate-wise.
