Has anybody considered that the loony left is so passionately anti-ice because arresting and deporting criminals might dry up a bit of the drug traffic ? [Confused] ?
What would Hollywood be without cocain ????
Or college campuses be without weed ????

You know, it occurs to me that, this generation will get a cheap degree, (based on effort) and learn nothing about their major discipline but their actual knowledge is of Liberal Politics. No, their parents most likely paid tuition thinking their child, (and that’s what they are, mentally) was going to get a degree in something useful. IInstead, with devices such as Cliff’s Notes, they will skate through bordering on ignorant of the degree for which they were awarded that phony diploma. The cannot spell without their smart phone, and they cannot add without the calculator built into their iphone. And, they probably got that $1200 phone by virtue of their parent’s family cell phone plan.

In other words, these kids have no concept of money, or of anything else that might suggest that they are truly College Educated. Sadly, they are knowledgeable about hot button stuff like Fracking and born citizenship. They seem to know quite a lot about the various mind altering substances available on any rinky dink college campus. Although they have been eligible to vote since high school, only about 8% actually exercise the privilege. I just made that statistic up, it’s probably a little high for the average college senior. However, that diploma will gain admission to some decent entry level positions, based on zero demonstrated knowledge. But they have the pass/entry which tells HR that they do know a thing or two.

In short, higher education in this country is failing our youth and their parents that thought they were getting value for dollars and the time expended. Now, extrapolate this house of cards down the road for another 2 maybe 3 generations and what will we have? Our children and grandchildren are highly educated in iphone! And that’s about it!

Good hunting. El Bee

Ok ............... Take the above line of thinking a bit further with an Einstein Thought Experiment.
Consider this portion of our current generation;

Possessing a Woke college degree with little or no application in the real world.
Lives at home with parents who support them.
No job skills or job history.

Then;

The parents pass away;
The kids inherit the parents assets.
It's party time 'til the money runs out.
Enter the 'Financial Advisor' to help the kids with 1st / 2nd mortgages, reverse mortgages, ect. to keep the party going.
With no common sense about money, the kids lose the house. Not their fault. Blame Trump. Riot & demand government help.
Help for the babies that they made, too.

Basically, they are fuked.

So ............ My prediction;
Sometime in the next 50 years or so, we will return to the old style European system of the Indentured Servant.
Someone with money (Say, an electrician or a plumber or an auto mechanic ) will 'purchase' someone by paying off their debts in exchange for voluntary slavery.

'Splain to me the fault in my logic, please.

The guy that ran wolf over with snowmobile and then taped its mouth shut and took into a bar goes to court sometime this week.

The other buckaroos that roped a cow moose and road it to death also will be going to court. they are facing felony charges for animal cruelty.

And now because of these two incidents Wyoming is now changing or should we say upgrading their animal cruelty laws to stiffer fines and jail time and also felony.
It's just not animal groups stirring this up its most anyone with common sense to do right thing.
Idiots brought it all on themselves and other now.

I don’t know why, but people react to animal cruelty a bit more emotionally than a human, unless the victim is black, dragging him behind a Pick up truck. by a rope. I have to admit, seeing a dog suffer at the hands of a sadist is something that pisses me off. they don't understand the why?And, neither do I. It’s no way to treat Man’s Best Friend. They say that people that will torture an animal will start doing it to humans soon enough. Well, that’s what “they” say. Sounds reasonable?

I don’t have the means to board and care for unfortunate dogs. They are pathetic and when I hear of some celeb that takes in strays, I have much admiration. What I don’t like is the Humane Society that claims to help abandoned dogs and all they do to help is euthanize them. It’s like those clinics that offer “pre natal” care, but all they do is abortions.

Whatever. The world can be a shitty place with plenty assholes to go around. Sometimes I think there are more pricks than decent folks. Take Chuck Schumer for instance. There’s a guy that couldn’t lead troops to a whorehouse. He is a for shit leader, does the Democrat Party no favors at all. He’s no John Kennedy, who had the “Down Home Cornpone” down pat. Democrats should find a better leader, Schumer ain’t it!

I try to be fair but I have very little sympathy for Pit Bulls. The breed should die out, every singe one neutered and spayed. Wouldn’t take long. Gang banger should start raising Labs instead. Hard to find a better natured breed! I’m partial to Coonhounds, myself. I think they make great family pets. If they have long floppy ears, they will likely make a good family pet. I single handedly try to promote the coonhound breeds as gentle pets with a loud voice being an asset. Get a hound and you won’t be sorry! Out here on the west coast, they are unrecognized, I might as well be walking a kangaroo! What’s that? It’s regional, they are popular in the southern states but you never see them out here.Tillie is a stereotypical coonhound, easy going, friendly and consequently make terrible watch dogs. Take my advice, get a coon hound; or Tree Dog, as TA calls them.

Good hunting. El Bee

General Rule Of Thumb;
'If the owner's a jerk ..... Don't trust his dog.'
'If the owner's a decent sort, his dog probably is too'.

A dog is usually a reflection of it's owner.

I am sure that Tillie likes the sound of her own voice, she can stretch out a bark into a whoopde do as it trails off, It’s like they say when listening to a pack of hounds on a trail, they can recognize who is sounding off because they are all slightly different, sometimes vastly different. Not a simple “bark” like a mixed breed mutt might make. The individually whoops of Husky’s is another crack up. I don’t know if my neighbors treasure Tillie’s serinade’s as I do, but it’s not an irritating yap yap yap like some miniature breeds do. Get a coon hound, they are fun to be with.

It’s like my son says about Tillie’s sisters and momma. They all like to sleep under the covers except one that he says get’s overheated. All I know about blankets and dogs is that Tillie won’t tolerate it. I think she’s castraphobic (sp) doesn’t like to be picked up either, barely puts up with it. Tillie has a sister that looks exactly like her, but she is from a different litter, so I guess technically, they are sisters, same mother and father, but a later breeding. Doesn’t matter, but they look like twins., one year apart in age. Her mother is the Blue Tick and her father is a Red Tick, so the pups come out a bit different. I have the lineage of the registration where they are listed as English Conhounds on the father’s side. All I know?

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: Registering with the I think it’s called the United Kennel Club rather than the American Kennel Club-AKC vi UKC. It costs $70 to have Tillie registered, kind of a waste because she is spaded. BFD

Yep, save your money on getting papers.
Yes, most dogs do sound different when they are tonguing. I had hard time hearing mine if out to far, but wife could hear them and she tell me who is doing the ass kicking and who was cheering and telling me if coyote getting whooped as well.

Tillie is a half sister. How do you go about picking Tillie up Leonard?? that has a lot to do with liking or not liking.

DAMN! You know that dogs and wolves do not have sweat glands! They much pant to regulate their body temperature.

That asshole should be beat to a fair thee well! I should define love and hate and tolerate and admire and the fine lines of distinction. I admire and respect coyotes and wolves for what they are. Yes I like to shoot both, when possible. But that has nothing to do with hate. I can’t explain it.

I have a, an affinity for predators of all types, sort of a higher life form. More intelligent than a sheep or a squirrel.

Speaking of squirrels. This morning there was a squirrel scooting along the back wall. I opened to slider and got Tillie all excited but she kept looking at me while I was gesturing in the direction of the fucking squirrel. The squirrel was no dummy and romped back the way he came and Tillie never gave a glance behind her while the squirrel made it to safety in a tall pine clear on the other side of the property. How do I change her focus from reading my face for direction to looking out yonder where the game be? I DONNO.

Leonard, many years ago when I was a youngster getting into bear hunting my, shall we say Mentor, Told me "These are work dogs . Not Pets. If you want a pet, get a pet. You want a hunting hound, hunt him!" I have seen a hound that has been hunted and turned into a pet and you just can't seem to ever take the "Hunt" out of them after that instinct in them has been ignited.
Your Tillie seems to be a rather nice dog.

Yes Walt. Tillie is a delight, and I knew I was getting a companion with hunting bloodlines. Is she a sofa poodle? Not at all. The only things we have here are lizards and she pursues them relentlessly. They will get wedged behind something that she cannot move so she scolds them strenuously! I mean, she really lets them know how she feels! I mean, in hound talk, she rants and raves and lizard hearing must suffer a lot.

But, she has lost the killer gene, and it’s really funny. The few times she has actually caught one, they wiggle around and she doesn’t expect it and doesn’t like it….and spits it out. And it gets away while she stands shocked with no thought of going after it again! Maybe it tickles but she doesn’t like it at all! It’s hilarious!

Her reaction is exactly like I would be if I got a Black Widow in my mouth-eek/yuck-spit-cough-cough-gag/eek-spitspit!

Nope! She does not want some sour tasting wiggly critter in her moth! No thank you! Not kidding, it’s funny and humiliating and she looks embarrassed!

Yes, I understand. Here’s the plot, almost every time that she is spread out and in my way of coming in or going out or just needing to get past where she is camped out. She will wait until the last critical second while I attempt to get around her and when I’m committed, that’s when, (and too late) she will decide to move her lazy ass out of my way. It’s like a split second determination to move just far enough that as I have a foot coming down, she will dart into that open space! Now, I’m committed, but I can see thAt she has blocked my open space and it’s damned near checkmate, or better yet an awkward clusterfuck of missteps and recovery designed to make sure that I step on her! It would be so much better if she paid me no attention whatsoever! Hard to explain, but she’s a half beat too late every time! It can’t be on purpose, can it?

treeing hounds are not really killers unless someone makes them into one and breeds them to be more aggressive. They mostly meant to be scent tracking/trailing dogs and then tree or hold game at bay.

If tillie didn't smell the squirrel she not going to go after it.

You want to find out if she still got it? Find some kind of bottle scent or something that will leave a scent on damp grass, then with long rope drag it across the yard with out her seeing you.
Bring her to start of scent trail on leash and just let her sniff, if looks like they taking interest then take her off leash and see if she can track it down. Then you know if she still got it.

There is very little that gets Tillie really excited She is friendly to any human, gardener or police or family members or anybody walking down the street. She shows zero aggression. Other dogs get her interest. Especially if she is behind the gate and somebody is walking a dog on a leash-that’s the hot button! At least to let them know she’s there. If I let her go she will just cautiously sniff and greet. Two German Shepards on leash, that’s where she will mouth off like they had better get the hell out of town before she kicks their ass! (while behind the gate) She’s primarily NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH, and a big mouth.

When she goes to the dog park, she knows the route and is excited four blocks away. I let he out in the parking lot and she will sprint to the Big Dog gate and patiently wait for me to catch up. You know dogs inside see a newcomer and will come to the other side of the double gate waiting to sniff butt.

There are social dogs and dogs that glue to their master and everything in between. Tillie is independent and roams all over as far as she can get but seems to keep an eye on me and checks in once in a while, hops up on the top of the picnic table, and then finds something else to sniff. She will usually find another dog she like and others she doesn’t much like. Dog park people are a strange breed, hard to explain. They always seem to know who belongs to who. I get a lot of curiosity, people are interested in Tillie, you do not see many coon hounds at the dog park. But they don’t know what she is? They know she is a good looking dog but can’t quite place her, in fact nobody knows she is a coon hound, much less a Blue Tick. But when I tell them or her or whoever they seem to have heard of the breed but didn’t know what they look like. Out here, there is relatively few mixed breed mutts. There are poodles and Shepards and Labs and even a pit bull hear and there, but you do not see Heinz 57 dogs. So, they know Tillie is something, they just don’t know what? She’s unique around this town and is a good looking, obvious pure bred dog but they never know exactly what she is? Kinda funny.

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: Just thought of something! Tillie is an “exotic” breed! Rare. lol

Yeah thats the thing you don't see many breeds like that in town.

Have a guy here in town has a pure-bred Black/Tan but dog has never been hunted. Guy chains it up in front yard for few hours each day and front yard is a mess, dead grass and shit all over. He should use the back yard at least...

You get something big enough to tie on a string and drag through yard on damp grass and see if she takes to it. I've used a stale piece of meat like a steak or whole chicken at times just something that leaves a scent with little water pour on it.

Yeah, she will go for that. She sniffs all over the front sidewalk, nose to the concrete, huffing and sniffing like a machine….then she will squat on the turf and pee!

I put her on a lead in the front yard once in a while but she doesn’t dig up anything, just soaks up the sun. Even so there are certain ethnic types that will occasionally detour when they see her. I’m told that a lot of people have a stigma against black dogs. Tillie is marked like a Doberman with brown marking around the face and half of her legs are tan, her tail is half black and the last 1/2 is white. Of course, she also has the blue ticks in her pattern so she’s not 100% black. To an Asian, that’s enough!

Good hunting. El Bee

you take a rag and toss in some food scraps attached to a string (put little water on rag) and drag it through yard that bring her around.

Or make a little trail with food treats that have some scent to them, just drop a few as you go but don't do it in front of her, its good game for her and makes her work for it.. Little chunks of cook chicken or something.
