Came across an article, where our buddies, the Communist Chinese think they are in the cock bird seat, re National Defense. China has practically no fertile farm land. But they do have strategic Rare Earth Elements. So where this comes into play is a matter of our National Defense, as here:
REEs [rare earth elements] are crucial for a range of defense technologies, including F-35 fighter jets, Virginia- and Columbia-class submarines, Tomahawk missiles, radar systems, Predator unmanned aerial vehicles, and the Joint Direct Attack Munition series of smart bombs. For example, the F-35 fighter jet contains over 900 pounds of REEs. An Arleigh Burke-class DDG-51 destroyer requires approximately 5,200 pounds, while a Virginia-class submarine uses around 9,200 pounds.
There is a curious little spot right on the border of I-15 maybe 50 miles this side of Las Vegas. I always wondered what the hell was going on, it’s called Mountain Home or something like that? It is a mining project involving rare earths, usually not much going on. Maybe because they still need another 10 years of research into the environmental impacts involved in extracting this stuff. It’s kinda close to Halloran Summit. I remember once killing a bobcat right at the bottom of the off ramp, 20 years ago, serendipity situation.
Anyway, this site looks particularly useless, barren wasteland, but not far from the Mojave reserve, east of the freeway.
Anyway, the strategic balance depends on really obscure things, sometimes. Who would have ever guessed, 25 years ago, that rare earth magnets would have such importance? I wouldn’t know a rare earth, if I was hit on the head with a REE rock. That’s your science project for this week, check it out. It will be on the test!

So .............. Our National Defense depends on your twinkle toes Governor managing Mojave when he can't even get building permits issued for fire victim homeowners on the Pacific Palisades ????
Yeah, I'll sleep better tonight knowing that. ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

But, it’s complicated, Richard! He’s doing the best he can! While orchestrating a run for the president of the United States, he cannot deal with petty little chicken shit stuff like rebuilding Pacific Palisades all the way to Malibu. Those problems tend to take care of themselves, if you ignore them long enough.
Talk to me about it after 2028 and I bet it takes care of itself. Do not sweat the small shit! The main thing is that we get more democrats elected, and that’s what he’s trying to do, starting with the most qualified….himself! Now bug off, and go play with your strings and pointy sticks!

How about TRUMP / TYRUS 2028 ??? That would make the lib's heads explode. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I dunno .......... Seems to me that the best way to turn Calif. from Blue to Red would be to just let Gavin Newscum keep on doing what he's doing. I see bumper stickers over here; 'Please Don't Califorrnicate My State'. Maybe some new ones 'Please don't Californicate My Country' ???
Here's a thought; How about Adam Carolla / Tyrus in 'Return of The Man Show' ??? That would be fun !!!! ![[Cool]](cool.gif)

Because before Kimmel went Woke, The Man Show was awesome. Truly, the whole was greater than the sum of the parts. Ziggy Zaggy Ziggy Zaggy Hoy Hoy Hoy !!!!!
Yeah, Carolla & Tyrus. I'd stay up past my bedtime for that.

Yeah, you are kind of a hero worshiper, huh? Just kidding, Amigo. The thing about Tyrus is he just .looks like a Big Dummy. But he surprises. He’s a smart dude. And his head is screwed on straight politically.
