Ok campers ................ A summer beverage that goes way back to the Colonial times. Pretty darn tasty & easy to make. Probably even good for you.

Add to about 1.25 gal. of water;
1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar.
2 heaping tablespoons of powdered ginger.
32 oz. of Maple Syrup.
and if you're of a mind to, pour in a bottle of Spiced Rum.
Serve over ice.

I had my doubts about the cider vinegar but it adds just a bit of tang to balance the sweetness.

[Cool]

Sounds interesting! That would be the Capt Morgan spiced rum? My boss used to talk about that stuff all the time. Never tried it?

We went to a local Mexican restaurant a couple days ago and had combo dinners with a Margarita and it came with a small snifter of (I think) it was an orange brandy? Whatever, it was very good. A little sweet. Next time, it will probably be a long neck Pacifico. But it was unique, I liked it.

Good hunting. El Bee

PS I’m not much of a drinker. Sounds like ko ko isn’t much of a drinker, either. He raves about the Henry Weinhard Rootbeer, frequently. edit: also a type of Meade, which I believe is a honey wine?

Yeah, the spiced rum is diluted down and pretty much just adds another layer of flavor.

I do enjoy a glass or two of Chaucer's Mead with a good meal of something I've killed & cooked, preferably over fire. Special occasion stuff.

Henry Wienhart's is the root beer of choice and makes a killer root beer float.

For a 'sundowner' in the evening while enjoying the sunset I like 1/3 Fireball, 1/3 water and 1/3 ice in a Manhattan glass. (Note; if you're drinking Fireball straight you have a grudge against yourself and should get help right away.)

At any rate, just like trying making new things to try. Sometimes it works, other times not so much.

Fireball is a cinnamon whiskey that is way over the top on heat. College kids drink it straight to impress their stupid peers & themselves.

Diluted down, it's rather tasty.

Hmmm? You know this stuff, ko ko! What? Misspent youth? How come you don’t know the stock market, or something really useful? Like what keeps your dick hard all weekend? Legal substances. Never mind, I don’t need that information, wouldn’t know what to do with it. Anyway.

Definite misspent youth. I was crazy then. I'm better now. [Big Grin]
Don't need to know the stock market. Got a girl over at Edward Jones for that. My contributions are like when President Trump announced Tariffs and the 'experts' predicted DOOM. I moved more $$ out of savings into my E. J. account. The market dropped and I doubled down. Lo and Behold, it turned out that President Trump knows something about finances and the market went up, up, and away. [Smile]
I've outlived my teeth and am in the process of outliving my pecker. Life is good !! [Cool]
Hint; Just go to the Dr. and tell him that the power package needs a jump start. He'll understand. Better living thru chemistry.

Thanks, but I’m still OK with the gear, if anybody cares? And, I’m sure they don’t.
