................. who wants to be the NEXT Shah of Iran.

What he says sounds pretty good, though. When the people of Iran rise up in revolt against the Religious whack-jobs running Iran maybe we'll get some peace & quiet over there.

Wouldn’t that be nice? However, an amazing number of conservatives and Liberals are wetting their pants over our involvement, not to mention Isreal’s adventurism. I don’t know how they are accomplishing whatever is their mission, but our CIA needs to be paying attention and learning a few things. I guess the difference is survival versus country club James Bond spy playing. And we fail to grasp that their existance depends on vigilance.

Anyway, the mullahs are staying under concrete bunkers like Hitler, but they might run out of 12 year old virgins. Wouldn’t that be unfortunate?

Yes, All the usual suspects, I do’t need to name them. But even Tucker Carlson is worried. The right AND the left is upset that Trump might join in….without seeking the permission of congress. I’m sure everybody knows that’s impossible, which is why everybody, right and left thinks it’s mansatory. Yes, none of us understands how congress works. It’s both ends against the middle. Will he go ahead, or waste time seeking permission? I don’t know enough to have an opinion….pass the popcorn!

SCORE 6-0 Bunker busters.

You know, it was several years ago when the B2 was first operational. But I was heading out of town going up 395, just past adana to, and George AFB, which i don’t even know if it’s deactivated or what?

Anyway, a B2 took off and past right over our heads, and not very high either. Why it was there, I have no clue? shouldn’t’ have been, maybe because it’s kinda close to Palmdale where they were built.

In any case, it was definately cool.

Years ago (decades, actually) I was on my way to work in the Valley of San Fernando when a B-1 declared a mechanical malfunction and did an emergency landing at the Van Nuys airport, coming in right over Roscoe Blvd low & slow. Right in front of my truck and I'm here to tell ya, that was damn near a Religious Experience not soon to be forgotten. Even the ground trembled when that thing passed over.

Now, we can expect Iran to get all pissy over the nuke strikes and retaliate. Hopefully, President Trump will put the word out 'You bomb one of my air bases and I'll flatten one of your Mosques'.

I have watched a. B1 doing the over contour in the hills around Wendover, in extreme northwestern Utah. Five minutes later, I saw a UPS truck negotiating some roads they shouldn’t have been on. And earlier, I happened upon a location where someone had butchered a steer, Looked pretty suspicious?

Anyway, that is a good looking plane and it was amazing to see it manouver like that.

Big rascal, too. I was out in the Mojave once and spotted what I thought was a fighter jet. What seemed odd was there appeared to be 'gnats' flying around it. Binoculars revealed that the 'gnats' were the fighter jet escorts around a B1. Just awesome !!!!

And this just in ........ While the Dems are marching while waving Iranian flags and signs that President Trump is a war criminal (for preventing the 'Death To America' crowd from building a NUCLEAR WEAPON ) Israel and Iran just agreed to a cease fire.
How about that !!!! [Smile]

Sadly, you're probably right.
I had a Special Forces guy once tell me that as long as there's two Arabs and a Jew, there will be conflict in the Middle East.
Just one more reason why I'm cynical about mainstream religions.

I have never liked organized religious anything. Always believed it was just another form of control, like governments. I have never not believed in our creator and his wonders but you can have organized religion if it's your cup of tea.

I don't know?
I think without the old testament, the Ten Commandments, and Christianity, humans would have no concept of right and wrong. We do understand why this is the year of our Lord 2025, after all.

But, I received basic education in Parochial school, and after that, public schools were a very poor second.

Without religion, I wonder if we would be savages. Christianity, and its principles guide civilization. I’m not discounting Islam and Hinduism, Tao and Buddhism, but you cannot deny the influence of Christianity in the modern world.

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: I am actually a non practicing Roman Catholic, there’s a word for it but it escapes me? The early training/indoctrination never leaves you.
The other thing is, I have always heard there are no atheists on their deathbed.

I don't have a problem with the religions themselves. My problem is like Walt said; Those who use it for control over the unwashed masses. THAT is the history of every religion at every level.
My own wife was once refused Baptism by a Catholic Priest who had a bottle of Holy Water in his pocket at the time because she hadn't jumped thru the proper Catholic hoops or some such bullshit.

I recently had a couple of Mormon chicka's in the Wally World parking lot ask me if I had a place to worship that coming Sunday. I said Yes, I can sit on my patio with a cup of coffee in the mornings and watch the sunrise and see the twinkle in God's right eye. Then during the day I can scan the mountains and the desert and see God's smiling face. Then in the evening I can sit with a glass of Mead and watch the sunset and see the twinkle in God's left eye.
I invited them to join me but they must have lost my address.

I argue that one knows what is inherently right and wrong, that is unless you don't have a conscience that tells you that you screwed up. I have met a lot of people without consciences in a prison for max security people that shouldn't be breathing my air.
So Christianity is a good way to follow and all the other religions that preach peace . But didn't God send his only son to teach the unwashed masses and humankind a proper path to heaven. And all they did was murder him and make a martyr out of him.
I have read the Bible and the Koran and a few others in my search for the so called Nirvana but if you don't have it in your heart to be a good human being, your a lost soul anyways.
I did find spiritual enlightenment in my travels all throughout the Great Basin and Gods country.

Nevada is a special place, if you will forgive Reno and Las Vegas. I’ve pondered before, why would one leave such an inspiring place, but then again, why have I failed to leave the California that people love to hate. We may never know and that’s okay.
