You know, every once in a while, somebody parachutes in here and shakes things up. So, who made bail? Ha Ha

In a good way, of course. Ain’t many, and we wander all over the spectrum sometimes, even getting political.

Wrote a book, did ya? Two books? I need to do that, one day.

Good hunting. El Bee

Koko… Raven is battling three types of cancer at the moment BUT not giving up>. Will tell her you asked about her! She did Season 11 in “The Curse of Oak Island” as a Lead Archiologist(Jamie Kouba) then wound up with an archeological Job of her dreams in Eastern PA. Her daughter, my Granddaughter whose I have name Little Red Winged Blackbird just graduated Army Boot Camp and is almost finished with her AIT. She will be stationed in Georgia mid Jan.

Yes Leonard, I wrote a second book! You really should do so. I know it would not be boring for sure lol Good to see you!!! We have neighboring gas wells so I was finally able to pay my restitutions and get out of jail!!! Lol

Writing my book was my way of putting a period on 32 years of coyote hunting, getting a Bill in PA written up, having the Governor sign it into law then getting the PA Game Commission to change the Law and regulations for PA Predator Hunters. It has been one crazy life. Now I am back to being a Happy Lil Hermit on my dime and time.

What about all of you?

So there are many more hopes then we were initially dearly with. She still has her liver biopsy and her spine biopsy and her pet scan to complete. Her liver biopsy is scheduled for this coming Monday. Lots of prayers are a big help I do believe!!! So blast them forwaRD if you don’t mind… I Believe!

What's the story as to why ko ko don't do Amazon?
I do so is there a reason why I shouldn't? I've bought close to a hundred books from Amazon in the past year or so. Oh, and I also bought a KaBar Marine Corps fighting knife, strictly curious about the lethality in the hands of a Brian Kohlberger. It's effective, for sure!

Good hunting. El Bee

Most of what I buy is Traditional Archery equipment that I find used on eBay. Just never got on Amazon.
I always kinda considered Amazon to be The Mall and eBay to be The Swap Meet.

Ms. Crow;
I have a Raven question if you could pass it on.

We know that Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon peoples did the inter-species hanky panky and left 1% to 3% of their Neanderthal DNA in present populations. Most likely a Neanderthal male and a Cro-Magnon female resulting in fertile off spring.
What I'm curious about is the possibility that it didn't work going the other way. IE, a Cro-Magnon male mating with a Neanderthal female resulting in infertile offspring ??? That might explain in part why a successful species went extinct.
I know that archeologist and anthropologist are two different fields but there's enough overlap that I thought she might have some insight to it.

Okay Koko, here is Raven’s response:
I’ve never heard that it “didn’t go the other way” Early hominids isn’t my thing, but I’ve never heard that the male had to be one species and the female the other. I just know that there was interbreeding with all early hominids, including Denisovans, Cromagnon, and Neanderthal

Ok ............ Thanx !!!!
I had got to thinking about a male donkey and a female horse producing a sterile hybrid mule and wondered if that could apply to early humans. This kind of stuff keeps me awake at night.

Poor genetics, wrong traits.. example Koko still stuck in stone ages and hunts with a bow and uses hand calls, Leonard caught in the middle somewhere and others use the best equipment out there or willing to improve. Koko you forgot to mention Beefalo, cow and Buffalo cross which is also sterile.
Also what was mentioned in Koko post they could of also been two different species or lacked the right Chromys.

Ah, where to start;
[Confused]
Yes, Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon were two different species. Cro-Magnon morphed into modern Homo Sapiens.
I don't think that Neanderthals went extinct because of poor genetics. They existed for over 200,000 years and there were a couple of Ice Ages involved. Our species panics when Wi-Fi goes down.

Now;
".......... use the best equipment out there or willing to improve."
A wise man once sayth;
"Improve a mechanical device and you may double productivity, but improve man and you gain a thousandfold. I am such a man."
Khan Noonien Singh.

Today was a good example; Saw a nice buck at 200 yards. No chance for a stalk. For someone new to hunting a 200 yd rifle shot would max out their skill set and they would be thrilled to score. For more experienced hunters 200 yds is a chip shot. Often they desire more challenge and take up the compound bow which limits them, depending on how well they shoot to <100 yards. Usually closer. Once proficiency is gained with the compound, many of us go to Traditional recurves or longbows just to challenge ourselves a bit more. We have a guy in the Globe club that makes his own self-bows and knaps his own arrowheads. I'm not at that level but I do admire what he does.
Me ........ I'm going back in the morning with my recurve after that buck.

Edit 4 speling

I hunted many years with a shotty, rifle, black powder rifle and a Bow. The shotty was for birds. Only reason for the bow and black powder rifle was so I could hunt deer if I couldn't get off work for slug season. All about putting meat in the freezer that you can't buy in a store/market. I didn't care how I killed one or how close or how far, important part was I killed one for freezer. Not much of a antler trophy hunter but I got a few wall hangers but not by choice. In Minn. you have to apply for a doe tag and only so many given out and with work schedule just made it that much harder, so I had to settle for shooting a buck if I wanted meat in freezer.
Now days i can get up to 3 doe tags but the cost to process the meat is sky high so I quit deer hunting.

Yeah the cave man existed over 2000 years or what have you but the faukers never had a brain to think with, instead they mutated/evolved like cattle till the right cross was finally made. genetics.!!!
Chimps cant breed with Gorillas different species and same for all the varis cavemen.
Put white female pig in pen with white male pig and what you get? just more white pigs until you cross something else with different make up of genetics. Example a white pig crossed with a black pig, now you will get a mixture of black and white piglets, white piglets and all black piglets. The amount of genetics passed on by male or female will determine their color. Now say you come across a pig that tends to be a little smarter that rest of the litter and perhaps another almost as smart. you cross the two and you will get a percentage of smarter piglets and rest only as smart as who gave them dominate genes to start.

I'm amazed that you don't process your own deer meat. [Eek!]
It's not too complicated. The refrigerator aging is covered pretty well on uTube. The rest is just a couple of roasts, a few steaks and mix what's left thru a meat grinder 50-50 with mild Italian Sausage for burgers or meat loaf.
Really .......... It's not all that much different than preparing bobcat or jackrabbit for the table. Just bigger pieces of meat and more of it, and you age instead of soak in salt water with a bit of baking soda.

That's a shame. The same way a cheese burger tastes better when you grill it yourself over a campfire than anything you can get in a restaurant, game meat that you harvest and process yourself is always better than anything store-bought.
Then there's game cooking which is an art / skill in and of itself. Game tastes even more better when you cook it yourself.
Then, if you can side it some wild edible plants that you gathered the only way it gets any better is with a bottle of wine or Mead that you put up yourself. Pure Heaven !!!

Now, if I could only figure out why the washing machine is shrinking my pants ........ [Confused]

Use to have a drive-in here where most of the food came straight out of the guy's garden which he had out on the farm. His chicken dinners were his specialty, and the fresh chickens came from the farm as well. And once in a while if you stopped in on right day you could get some snapping turtle.

Hey, I’m not into that much grief, ko ko. We use a cold storage and supply a quantity of suit for the burger, come back next week and pick up, all processed labeled and wrapped. I’m not going to make a career out of processing something I’m not overly fond of, in the first place. Especially the organs. But, whatever floats your boat.

Good hunting. El Bee
