I got my Natchez catalog a couple days ago. There's no good reason for all the jacked prices for components, which goes along with general shortages of ammunition and sky high prices for stuff we usually don't want and pushing foreign manufacturers. I mean, I buy it, but I'd rather buy American, if I can?
Just an example:
Hodgdon's H4350 & H4831-$51.49
IMR 4350 & 4831- $49.49
Get this! Allliant Reloader 19 & 22 - $59.99 Reloader 16 is $61.99
Winchester 760 Ball, which is either the same or just as close to H414, is a friggin' bargain @ $38.99
How many remember when Hodgdon's was packaged in a square rectangular paper box with a little round metal cap. I kept a couple of those old containers from the late '60's and the price is in ballpoint, $1.99! Yes, I know that was 54 years ago, but it's still something close to a 3,000% increase. Regular gas has only gone up 2,000% in that time.
They are conspiring against handloaders! I have no doubt!
End of rant
