My daughter sees them all the time, almost as often as the deer munching on her hedges. But, Marin is a different situation, there's more green spaces than buildings, turkey vultures are as numerous as the crows.
I just thought of this: where aren't there coyotes in the US? Probably Hawaii, that's a long swim.

No coyotes known to be on the Calif. Channel Islands, either.

But I get your point. Coyotes and cockroaches will be here long after we are gone.
